What are clear stamps anyway?

If you’ve been looking around my website, you will see a wide variety of clear, photopolymer stamps. These are the modern style of stamps that have quickly replaced traditional woodblock rubber stamps. While there are many beautiful woodblock stamps on the market, the biggest selection and variety comes in the form of clear stamps. Here is a quick look at how these stamps work.

To use clear photopolymer stamps, you simply peel them from their backing paper and stick them onto an acrylic block. The stamps do not lose their stickiness and can be used over & over. You only require a small number of acrylic blocks in various sizes or a stamping platform, like the MISTI.

To clean your clear stamps, simply wipe with a small shammy towel, a baby wipe or with a clear stamp cleaner and a scrubber pad. Dye ink will stain your clear stamps, but it is no problem at all for future use.
