Neat & Tangled Release Week – Day 2

Hello! I am so bummed I missed day 1 of the Neat & Tangled release – it was amazing, right?? Great projects from the design team. But, I’m here for day 2 sharing projects with 2 new sets – Life is Beautiful & My Sunshine. These stamps are both great – such sweet images in Life is Beautiful & My Sunshine features Danielle’s stunning handwriting. My Sunshine is the July/August incentive stamp – for more details check out this post.

Onto the projects…I kept things super simple for the Life is Beautiful set – I wanted to focus on the adorable little potted flowers. I did some simple coloring with Copics & popped the cream panel up on kraft with foam squares. I just adore the tiny images.

Next up is My Sunshine. I decided to make a Project Life 3″x4″ filler card using the sentiment. The background was made using the Sunburst stamp. I stitched through each ray to add some interest to the card. I then stamped and fussy-cut the sentiment and popped it up with foam. This will add such a bright pop of color to a summer scrapbook page!

Head over to the Neat & Tangled blog and comment for your chance to win Life is Beautiful! And make sure to check out all the gorgeous DT projects as well. All stamps will be available to purchase on the Neat & Tangled site from Friday. Hope you have a great week & happy shopping :-)

Elle’s Studio January Kit Reveal

Hello! What an exciting day – the full reveal of the Elle’s Studio January Kit! This kit is filled to the brim with adorable cards, accents, wood and stamp set.

In case you aren’t familiar with Elle’s Studio, the kits are limited and once they sale out we will not be restocking! You can look out for a new kit each month on the 10th at 8:00 am PST, and as a special bonus to celebrate launch day, kits will be on sale for $9.99 for today only, regular price after that will be $11.99. These kits can ship first class: shipping for USA residents will start around $2.00 and go up from there, depending on the weight of what is in your cart. For overseas, it will run about $6+ depending on your location.

The add-ons are also limited and while supplies last, and are made to coordinate with the kit.

Here are the projects I made with this kit – 1 project life spread and 1 card. The Project Life spread is from the summer – just goes to show how diverse this kit really is! I couldn’t get enough of the adorable wood veneers from the Lots of Love Wood Veneers pack – used them on my PL spread & my card. I like to keep my spreads simple with a lot of inserts from the Collect App. The wood veneers are perfect for accenting these 3×4 cards.

The ‘Weekend Fun’ tag is from this month’s Lots of Love printables – lots of fun things in here too!PLSpread_detail2_w.banner_blogPLSpread_detail6(w.banner)_blog
‘These Moment’s wood veneer is swoon-worthy – I just love it!PLSpread_detail5(w.banner)blogPLSpread_detail3(w.banner)_blog

The card was super simple & came together in a snap thanks to all the well-coordinated items in this kit.  I used some gorgeous paper from the Love You More collection and a quote bubble and wood veneer from the January Kit. I finished off the edge with some messy red stitching and some of the hearts in the top right corner are covered with glitter, though it is hard to see in the photo.

So, there you have it! I hope you are able to get your hands on this kit – it is such a good one! Make sure to stop by the Design Team Gallery to see all the inspiration with this kit.

Here are some more looks at the contents of this kit – enjoy!

Project Life – Florida

Our computer is finally back from a little visit to the Genius Bar. What a shock to have no computer for almost a week. Luckily, it was just a battery issue and our baby is home safe. It is crazy how disconnected you feel without your computer. But, alas, all is ok and I am back today catching up on some Project Life spreads to share.

This is my final spread from our summer trip to the states – our last week of vacation, which we spent as a family in Florida. As my husband and I both live in different countries from our respective families, 99% of our vacations are to visit relatives. This is part of the deal when you live abroad and something I have come to terms with after nearly a decade of living across the Atlantic from my nearest & dearest. However, sometimes we also just want to go somewhere as our own little family of 3 and see something new. So, this time we did it and we had  a great time. It wasn’t anywhere too exotic (well, it was for my Swedish husband), but it was great all the same and we are so grateful to have the opportunity for that week.

For this very simple spread I relied on the Poet Society Studio Calico Kit & the September Gossamer Blue kit. I also borrowed some advice from Project Life expert Celine Navarro and typed my journaling directly onto some labels and a printable card from the Poet Society printables. This saved me a lot of stress & time. Journaling is probably my least favorite part of the process and this made it much less painful!

I’ll be back with some more cards later this week! Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!
