You Turn Me On…

Hello there! This week is flying by – can’t believe it is Thursday already. I got some quality time in the crafty room at the beginning of the week, but I’m afraid that is diminishing now – busy weekend ahead!

Anywho, onto today’s card. This is another one for the Clean & Simple Card Making Class – using a sketch from Day 1 (I’m so behind – still haven’t even attempted cards from the other days!!). It is also for the Paper Smooches Guest DT search and the Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & check back later for some single layer cards!

Clean & Simple Card Class – again!

Hi again! Back to share another card for Day 1 of Clean & simple Card Making. This is similar to my post from earlier today, just using different motifs. I had my husband in mind when I made this card – good masculine colors for Valentine’s Day…
Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Card Class – Day 1

I’m very excited to be taking part in the Clean & Simple Online Class – the first two days have been great – just the inspiration I’ve needed!
Yesterday Kristina provided us with some fab sketches and I have some Valentine’s Day cards to share using those sketches. I took some liberties, but the general idea is still the same…
I’m not sure a card which uses this much patterned paper is considered Clean & Simple – what do you think?

This card is also for the Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day Challenge. I’ll be back later sharing a similar card with slightly different motifs. Thanks for stopping by!

I have lots of Valentine’s Day cards in the works for my website, so stay tuned for more over the next weke or so…

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!

One more color challenge entry!

So, just another quick post for one more entry into the color challenge over at Papertrey Ink. I wanted to do lots more, but no such luck!

For this one, I wanted to challenge myself a bit, so I chose Dawn’s gorgeous color combo. I don’t often use this many colors, but I really admire her work and wanted to try. Here is my attempt:

The sketch is based on the current challenge over at Card Patterns and made with lots of scraps – so going into the Wee Memories challenge as well! Lastly, I’m going to enter this into the Love is in the Air challenge over at The Paper Players.

Warm & fuzzy hearts

Wow, what a crafty weekend I’ve had! Between keeping up with the latest celebrations over at Papertrey Ink & trying to do some magazine submissions, I have been one busy stamper. Doesn’t get much better than that ;-)

A quick Valentine’s Day card tonight – its for lots of different challenges – Sweet Inpriation over at a Passion for Papertrey, Hearts Gone Wild at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, and Love is in the Air over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. The colors were inspired by the current challenge over at Off the Wall Craftiness and I managed to put this together using just scraps – so, its also going into the scrap challenge at Wee Memories.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo from Off the Wall Craftiness:

Thanks for stopping by & to all my American friends enjoy the Superbowl!ο»Ώ

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hi everyone!
I’m participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop for the first time this month & was very excited about the challenge: ‘This month’s blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!’

I have made 2 cards for the Blog Hop. The first uses Larger than Life and the second uses Heart Prints. Both of these sets are beautiful, but I don’t use them nearly as much as I would like.

Here is the first card – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Clean & Simple Stamping – sketch 124 – and the colors are for the Neutrals Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week in the Moxie Fab World Challenge. This ‘ribbon vase’ is much better in real life! As I definitely freed my creativity on this one, I’m also entering into the current challenge at Wee Memories.

My next card uses Heart Prints & Fancy Flourishes – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Get Sketchy. The colors are more pinks for the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. This also fits nicely with the current challenge, ‘Sweet Inspiration’ over at A Passion for Papertrey.

Thanks for visiting & enjoy the Blog Hop!

Card details:
Flower Vase Wedding Card:
Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Fine Linen, Spring Rain (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Mat Stack 1, Larger than Life, Fancy Flourishes, flower & sentiment from Delightful Dahlias (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Light brown (Colorbox), watermark ink (Versamark), Tea Dye Distress Ink (Ranger)
Accessories: ribbon (Papertrey Ink), dies (Papertrey Ink)
Heart Flourish:
Cardstock: Pinks (Bazzill Basics)
Stamps: Heart, sentiment from Heart Prints, Fancy Flourishes (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Accessories: dies (Papertrey Ink), rhinestones (Kaiser Crafts), foam adhesive, sewing machine, corner chomper

A very pink valentine…

Another quick post tonight – lots to catch up on before the week begins…

I wanted to play along with the current sketch over at Mojo Monday. I never seem to make it in time for this one, but pulled it off today! I chose the colors based on the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. I do like pink & use it quite a bit, but never THIS much and it was definitely a big challenge for me. As the colors are definitely outside of my comfort zone, I’ll also going to enter this into the current ‘Out of Your Comfort Zone’ challenge over at the lovely A Passion for Papertrey. I am not crazy about all that pink, but oh well – its very sweet & girly for Valentine’s Day. Its hard to see in the picture, but the small square of pink cardstock is shimmery in real life…

Thanks so much for the visit!
Card details:
Cardstock: white & Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink), pinks (Bazzill)
Stamps: Love Tag (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: pink (Colorbox)
Accessories: ribbon (John Lewis), buttons (Woodware), corner chomper, twine (The Ribbon Girl), dies (Papertrey Ink), sewing machine, foam adhesive
