A crowd of critters!

Another quick blog post today. I’m crazy getting ready to head to the states soon for some family time and my to do list is long & getting longer!

I am lucky enough to have lots of Lawn Fawn stamps and can’t seem to find time to play with that many of them. But, I decided to make a card using a whole lot of them just to spread some inky love!

So, this little cutie is for the twine challenge over at Wee Memories & also the current Hero Arts challenge. The background Hero Arts stamp was from a super generous prize package I received from them – thanks so much Hero Arts! This card is also very kid-friendly, so I’m entering into the current Simon Says Stamp challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

Lacey goodness

A super quick post tonight – I have tons to do, so going to keep this short!

I finally got out my new Turning a New Leaf die today to make this card – I have been wanting to use it since it arrived. I rarely use lace, but was inspired by the challenge over at the Embellish Magazine blog to use decorative trim & shades of green. I also took inspiration from the current card being featured in the CASE challenge. All of this green reminds me of things blooming, so its also for the A Passion for Papertrey challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Mother’s Day Flowers

So, in the UK Mother’s Day is April 2nd and I’m busy making cards for friends. I love making mother’s day cards because I really love my mother! I think even though these are for someone else’s mom, I probably make them with my favorite person in the back of my mind. And, I can pull out all my favorite floral stamps as I think moms generally go for that stuff!

I remember seeing this sketch over at Karen’s blog, The Sweetest Thing, and really was struck by it & wanted to play along. Alas, time was not on my side. But, I’ve used in anyway for my cards today. Got to use lots of yummy new My Mind’s Eye & Crate Paper on these cards. Apologies for the bad pictures as well!!

This last card definitely reminds me of spring & also uses some green, so I’m entering it into the current challenge over at Wee Memories.

Thanks for stopping by!

More baby cards…

Hi everyone!

Another baby girl card to share today. I got to use some yummy October Afternoon paper on this creation – I do loooove their papers. This card is for the current challenge over at Wee Memories, which is ‘Source of Inspiration.’

I picked up Paper Crafts Color Inspiration for Card Makers for this challenge – every page of this magazine is full of wonderful goodness – I could probably CASE something from each and every page. For this challenge, however, I chose the layout from Maile Belle’s card on page 139 and even used the same sentiment (as I needed a baby card!). I loved the use of twine and the cut off label so incorporated that as well.

Obviously, babies are very special someones, so this card is also for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sew Lovely is….so lovely!

Hi blog friends!
Thanks for stopping by today – it has been a crazy week and I’m very excited for a relaxing weekend (fingers crossed!). A quick card to share today. I didn’t have a chance to make a single card all week (despite my hubby being out of town…) and finally sat down at my craft table at around 10pm last night. And, when I finally got the chance, my mojo had definitely disappeared. But, I did manage to put something together that I like.
I inked up Lawn Fawn’s Sew Lovely, which is tons of fun to play with and flicked through October Afternoon’s Thrift Shop paper pad for some inspiration, which always helps as I genuinely can’t get enough of that paper. I found a great color challenge to play along with over at Mona’s color challenge blog using Aqua, Red & Brown. This card is also for the ‘Whateva’ challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday – what a great challenge! The sentiment is very hard to see in the picture, but its lovely and subtle in real life!
Thanks for stopping by! It really makes my day :-)
