Hey friends. A super quick post tonight – its 9pm and we haven’t even gotten around to dinner here, so going to keep this quick! I made a card for the current Case this Sketch challenge.

I kept is simple with a stamped background and layering my ink splatter stamps directly on top on the background, along with a few real ink splatters to give it a more cohesive look. I die cut ‘hello’ 4 times to create some dimension without bothering with foam adhesive. Some sequins and voila!

Thanks for visiting & have a great day!

Final 10 Minute Craft Dash of 2013!

Hey! I can’t quite believe it is here, but this is the last 10 Minute Craft Dash of 2013. The 5 months on this DT have flown by – I looove this challenge and really wish it all the success in the future.

This instalment is very special – we are teaming up with the lovely & talented ladies from CAS-ual Friday to ring in the new year! The theme here at the 10 Minute Craft Dash is anything goes, but feel free to go with their New Year theme if you choose! And the prize is not to be missed!

So, onto today’s creation. First off – a confession – I had already stuffed a little glassine bag full of sequins & other goodies. But, the rest of the card took me exactly 10 minutes! I cut it close on this one – lots of stitching and last minute decisions about random embellishments.

I used some of my favorite things of 2013 on this card – gold labels from a Studio Calico kit, gold chipboard hearts from Maggie Holmes Flea Market, Studio Calico Thataway Feathers & Carta Bella Hello Again papers.
Make sure to visit Pretty Pink Posh & check out all the amazing DT creations & be sure to play along in this very special final 2013 challenge!

Day 9 of 12 Days of Holiday Projects

Hey there! Welcome back to Day 9 of 12 Days of Holiday Projects! We’re just a group of online crafty friends who love being creative. This time we’re doing a 12-day event to provide you with tons of Holiday Inspiration.

We’re making crafty projects using products we like and some of us are even offering prizes. Check each blog and the information there for what prizes are being offered and when the winners will be announced on that blog. You should check back here towards the end of the event – I’ve got some fun goodies to share :-)

At the bottom of this post is a list of all the crafty ladies participating in this event. Be sure to visit all the blogs each day for loads of fun Holiday craft ideas.

Today I’m sharing a wine tag – by far my favorite thing to make for the holidays – I have a HUGE stash!

This tag uses the color combo of Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides + White. I rarely reach for Ocean Tides, but whenever I do I am so happy I did – it really is a pretty color!

Make sure to visit the other blogs for loads of wonderful inspiration!

Ok, that is all for me today – thanks for stopping by – I really appreciate it!

Love This…

Happy Friday blog friends! I am looking forward to a quiet weekend – maybe a trip into downtown Zurich, some walks and, fingers crossed, a few minutes to get inky. What about you?

I made this card using a Studio Calico sketch – I found the sketch really intimidating, but glad I pushed through as I like the result. The products are a real mix of elements – some American Crafts Dear Lizzy die cut shapes, the November Simon Says Stamp kit with Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste papers, the Cut & Paste Project Life Mini Kit & a few bits from the Studio Calico Marks & Co Scrapbook Kit.

I am loving the look of journaling cards for the focal point on a card. The card is inspired by the look of some of the cards in the Handmade Cards special issue from Paper Crafts – this is hands down my favorite issue yet – I found it so inspiring (followed closely by the Color Inspiration issue from a couple years ago!).

I’m also sharing this for the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Thats all for me today – gonna spend some quality time this afternoon with my very cranky little toddler ;-)

10 Minute Craft Dash Birthday Bash!

Hello and welcome to a very special day!! Today is the 1st birthday of the 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge - and there is a big celebration! You should have arrived here from the blog of the incredibly talented Nina Yang.

Lovely Paulina of Pretty Pink Posh, the mastermind of the brilliant 10 Minute Craft Dash, has lined up an incredible group of the most talented card makers in the industry to help celebrate – hop along to see all their creations and the creations of the 10 Minute Craft Dash DT. Make sure to comment along the way for a chance to win one of the amazing prizes. AND, don’t forget to play along in the 10 Minute Craft Dash over the next 10 days for a chance to win the grand prize – a $50 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson and an amazing prize package – woo-hoo!!!

For my card, I cut a triangle pattern background from my Silhouette. I temporarily adhered it to a sheet of 4″ x 5 1/4″ white cardstock and got inky with sponge daubers and Distress Inks. The sentiment is heat embossed in black on vellum and wrapped around the panel. I added some coordinating sequins, popped it up on a kraft card base & called it a day! Super easy, but bold & graphic. It did take me nearly the whole 10 minutes – finished just in time at 9 minutes, 57 seconds.

Thanks so much for stopping by – your next stop is the super sweet and talented Kelly Marie Alvarez! Enjoy the hop & be sure to play along! If you lose your way along the hop, check out the full list at Pretty Pink Posh.

Edited to add: I noticed a fun challenge over at Moxie Fab World – Trendy Triangles. I’m linking this up there as well!

Giving Paisley a Try…

Wahoo – Friday night! Hope everyone had a good week. Ours was busy, but I’m hoping for a relaxing weekend. I’ve been promised some crafty time, but we’ll see – it usually doesn’t happen :-)

Anyway, just wanted to share a quick card. I recently bought the WPlus9 Paisley stamp set – I love the images. I think the options will be endless with this set, but kept it simple for this card. I used the current Studio Calico sketch as inspiration and the colors are inspired by the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board.

Oh Snap
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!
