I never thought I’d see the day…

..during my pregnancy that I would actually make a card that wasn’t for one of my DTs and just for fun! But, alas, that day happened this week and I am finally starting to get some energy back to get creative (something that has been completely zapped!). Hoping the trend continues and I can find the time, energy & creativity!

Today’s card is for the Play Date Cafe challenge, CAS-ual Friday challenge (embossing) & uses the Clean & Simple stamping sketch. I finally inked up Papertrey Ink Mehndi Medallion, which I love and got out lots of embossing powder!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Wishing you a lovely day & a chance to win!!

Just like my card says, wishing you all a lovely day!
I wanted to share a card using some Washi tape from Washi Tapes – I just love these patterns. It adds the look of patterned paper without the weight, and embosses like butter! And, guess what? The super generous people at Washi Tapes are offering one lucky person the chance to win three washi tapes  from washitapes.co.uk. All you need to do is tweet about this blog post and mention @washitapes for your chance to win. A winner will be chosen at random from the tweets – you have until midnight on Friday (GMT).
The flower is handmade with a mold from Mold Muse. A heat embossed sentiment & hand-drawn stitched line finished everything off nicely.
The colors are inspired by the current challenge at Play Date Cafe – I never use these colors, so was keen to take part and push myself a bit.

Thanks for stopping by & don’t forget to tweet!

Playing along with Play Date & CAS-ual Fridays

Hey everyone! A quick post tonight showing a card I whipped up for the Play Date Cafe & CAS-ual Friday challenges. I knew I wanted to play with both of these – gorgeous colour combo over at Play Date & so many options at CAS-ual Fridays.

For the CAS-ual Fridays challenge I chose the bottom row – Flowers, Buttons & Twine. I finally inked up my new Hero Arts Blossom Art stamp set – I love it! The sketch is based on the current design over at Clean & Simple Stamping.

A vintage birthday

Hey everyone!
Another quick post today – I’m exhausted & ready to call it a day (despite still only accomplishing about a 1/4 of my to do list, again!). I really wanted to squeeze in a card for the Play Date Cafe this week – I love the color combo. And, I really wanted to ink up my new Hero Arts stamp, Sew Stylish. The sketch is based on the current challenge over at CPS. This is also for the ‘Let’s Party’ challenge over at Lawnscapings.

Not your average baby card

Another baby card to share today and this time using some very nontraditional colors. I loved the colors for the current challenge over The Play Date Cafe, but I had so many baby cards to make & I was determined to make it work! I think it turned out well – who says purple & turquoise can’t be used for babies?

The sketch is based on the current sketch over at the Clean & Simple blog and it is also for the Passion for Papertrey – Hey Baby! challenge. Lastly, as I didn’t use any markers, it is also going into the current challenge over at There She Goes Stamps.

Card details:
Cardstock: Hawaiian Shores, Royal Velvet, Stamper’s Select White (Papertrey Ink)ο»Ώ
Patterned Paper: Little Yellow Bicycle
Stamps: sentiment from Plus One (Lawn Fawn), bears from Baby Button Bits, Polka Dot Basics (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Versamark

Spring is in the air!

Hi everyone & happy Monday!

It is starting to feel a little like spring in London and it makes such a difference – it is lighter later, warmer, the sun is trying to sneak out every once in awhile – its so nice! It really does make everything seem better – I do looove spring.

As it starting to feel like spring, I have definitely been drawn towards my cheery patterned paper and sweet floral stamps. When I saw the beautiful color palette over at The Play Date Cafe I knew I wanted to play along. Here is my CAS creation:
