Finally, a card!!

Boy have I been quiet here!! Between my parents arriving in London & anxiously awaiting baby’s arrival, card-making hasn’t been the top of my list. Yesterday I did manage an hour of uninterrupted card making bliss & it was a great distraction from being a week overdue! So, in honor of our upcoming arrival – a baby card!

I have been following along with all the Papertrey Ink anniversary celebrations and wanting to play along & today my card fits the bill as these sweet animals have hearts on their bums. The colors are inspired by the fab piece of cake over at Moxie Fab for this week’s Tuesday Trigger.

Thanks for stopping by & hopefully the next post will be about our latest arrival – fingers crossed!

1 stamp, 2 ways

Hello! Another quick post tonight – squeezing in some more Valentine’s Day cards. One of the great features of the Clean & Simple Online Card Class is the 1 stamp, 3 ways. I was attempting that with these cards, but only managed 2 ways…hopefully I’ll have a chance to come up with a 3rd variation sometime soon!

These cards use the Hero Arts Old Letter Writing woodblock stamp – in one instance as a portion of the background and in the other card, stamped onto die cut hearts.

The first card is for the current Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day challenge, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Single Layer Cards

Friday! Yay! Just a super quick post tonight sharing some single layer cards I did for Day 2 of Clean & Simple Card Making. I still haven’t attempted projects from days 3-5! Hopefully I will have a little time this weekend, but it is looking like a busy one…

Anyways, onto the cards – went with Julie’s layout and made a little set of thank you notes in muted, earthy colors – I love the way they turned out, but apologies for the terrible photos!

Thanks for stopping by & check back tomorrow for a new Wee Memories challenge!

Chipboard fun

Hello again! It is going to be a busy week here on the blog! Today I’m popping in to share a quick clean & simple baby card using chipboard. I have a big stash of chipboard and I just love when I can put it to good use.
This card is for the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays & Lily Pad Cards.

Thanks for stopping by! Check back later for another instalment of Clean & Simple cards!

Clean & Simple Card Class – again!

Hi again! Back to share another card for Day 1 of Clean & simple Card Making. This is similar to my post from earlier today, just using different motifs. I had my husband in mind when I made this card – good masculine colors for Valentine’s Day…
Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Card Class – Day 1

I’m very excited to be taking part in the Clean & Simple Online Class – the first two days have been great – just the inspiration I’ve needed!
Yesterday Kristina provided us with some fab sketches and I have some Valentine’s Day cards to share using those sketches. I took some liberties, but the general idea is still the same…
I’m not sure a card which uses this much patterned paper is considered Clean & Simple – what do you think?

This card is also for the Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day Challenge. I’ll be back later sharing a similar card with slightly different motifs. Thanks for stopping by!

Be My Valentine

Hello! I can’t believe this is my 3rd post in 3 days – I’m on a role :-)

I’ve got a sweet & simple Valentine’s Day card to share today – inspired by the colors over at ColorQ and one of Lucy’s fab sketches. I used some new Papertrey Ink goodies – Tremendous Treats & the heart border die.

I have lots of Valentine’s Day cards in the works for my website, so stay tuned for more over the next weke or so…

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Adventures in Washi Tape

Hello out there! It has been pretty quiet on my blog the last month, but I’m really hoping to share lots of projects between now & the arrival of baby in February, so stay tuned!

I wanted to play along with the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday this week – it can be any previous challenge & I never get around to any of them…so, thanks to the inspiration of Nichole Heady, I chose to make my own Washi tape – a simple idea using Scor-tape, tissue paper & stamps – lets just say I’m hooked!

I had such a fun time pulling out some neglected stamp sets and using the tiny stamps that I never seem to have much use for. The sketch is loosely inspired by Lucy’s sketch for her week of sketches from Day 3 – I’ve loved all of them & I’m sure I’ll come back to them again & again. Lastly, this card is for the Paper Smooches Guest DT search for February!

Thanks for stopping by & check back tomorrow for a fun Wee Memories challenge :-) Have a great Friday.
