10 Minute Craft Dash #28

Hey friends!
So sorry for the quiet blog lately – I have had a lot to catch up on in this first week back to real life in Zurich after a month long holiday!

Anyway, here as usual on the 3rd Wednesday of the month to share a new challenge over at the 10 Minute Craft Dash! As a DT and big supporter of Paulina, we’d love some feedback on the challenge – you can read her post here. But, onto the fun – a new challenge sponsored by the fab Paper Sweeties.

So, onto today’s creation. For me the trick to getting the card done in 10 minutes is to use one of my go-to sketches. I don’t try to reinvent the wheel in 10 minutes – do what works!

Ok, thats all for today! Thanks for stopping by & be sure to check out the

Happy Day

Hey all! Cannot believe it is Friday already! And nearly the end of August – ahhh!!! I have so much to do at the moment, so I’m going to keep this short & sweet. I put together this simple card for a card kit – really quick & easy thanks to some fun October Afternoon chipboard, washi tape & Mister Huey’s.

Ok, thats all for me! Have a great Friday & a great weekend!

Sending Hugs

Wednesday already? I don’t know where time goes. The days are long, but the weeks fly, if that makes any sense! Anyway, wanted to share a quick card I made earlier this week for the current CAS-ual Friday challenge – Map Quest. I hope a globe qualifies as a map :-) I made something similar for my dad for Father’s Day – seems appropriate living so far from home.

Globe
That’s all for now – check back later for a card using the June Simon Says Stamp Kit – loved all those Basic Grey Hipster goodies!

Wee Memories Challenge – mini cards!

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! My hubby is out of town this weekend and I’m busy getting crafty :-)

I’m here today sharing a new challenge over at Wee Memories. You may have read that Jenny will be ending this great challenge at the end of January. It has been a true pleasure being on the team and I will definitely miss the great challenges each week. But, we wish Jenny all the best in her stamping future!
The challenge this week is mini cards and our generous sponsor is My Favorite Things. I used Die-Namics Well Worn Greetings Die & Stamp Set – great sentiments with matching dies! I made a clean & simple 3″ x 3″ card.

We hope you have a chance to play along – make sure to upload your project at the Wee Memories blog by Friday January 13th!

Cupcake Challenge – Patchwork!

Good morning virtual crafty friends and happy Monday.

I’m here today with a fun challenge for Cupcake – this week we’re doing patchwork projects & your card must features patchwork of some kind. Our sponsor this week is the generous Simon Says Stamp who are offering one lucky winner a $20 gift certificate.

And, its a new month, which means we have a new monthly sponsor – this month we’re joined by Bunny Zoe’s, who are generously giving a Β£15 gift certificate.
So, onto this week’s project – this is a baby card and I made the ‘B’ by doing a messy arrangement of scraps onto a sheet of scrap paper & then die-cutting a large ‘B’ with my Cricut (thanks to some inspiration from the fab Betsy Veldman). The edges are messily stitched with pink and distressed with white ink.

Thanks for stopping by & don’t forget to check out the other DT projects – they are sure to inspire! Hope you have a chance to play along!

Wee Memories Challenge & a blog hop!

Hi everyone!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Today is a special day for me – my first post as part of  the Wee Memories Design Team! Yay! For this week’s challenge the theme is Masculine Creations – something I know can be very difficult (but rewarding!). The sponsor this week is Graphic 45, who are generously giving paper & stamps to the winner.

For this card I used some of my favorite October Afternoon paper from Thrift Shop, which has a very masculine feel. The paper, along with dark neutrals and a simple block font, makes this a card I would happily give to a guy for their special day.

As a special treat, the Wee Memories DT is hosting a blog hop, so you should have come to me by way of Laurel’s gorgeous blog. Your next stop is the lovely Stephanie’s blog! If you lose your way, head back to the Wee Memories blog to see the list!

Marker fun..

Well, I’m back from a great weekend away learning all about Copics. I am complete beginner with Copics but have always been so hopeless using them, so decided it was about time to get some real lessons. I met great women who are all so talented – I was blown away by their skills.

Anyway, the card today pre-dates the Copic retreat and is actually for the Moxie Fab World Stamp-It Stamping with Markers challenge.  I love this new sympathy set from Hero Arts and inked up the flower with my Marvy markers. I did learn how to use Copics direct to stamps though and can’t wait to give that a try next :-) This card is also for the Anything Goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by & watch this space for lots of Copic cards coming soon!
