A very pink valentine…

Another quick post tonight – lots to catch up on before the week begins…

I wanted to play along with the current sketch over at Mojo Monday. I never seem to make it in time for this one, but pulled it off today! I chose the colors based on the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. I do like pink & use it quite a bit, but never THIS much and it was definitely a big challenge for me. As the colors are definitely outside of my comfort zone, I’ll also going to enter this into the current ‘Out of Your Comfort Zone’ challenge over at the lovely A Passion for Papertrey. I am not crazy about all that pink, but oh well – its very sweet & girly for Valentine’s Day. Its hard to see in the picture, but the small square of pink cardstock is shimmery in real life…

Thanks so much for the visit!

2 posts in one day – I never thought I’d see the day…

But, I really really wanted to squeeze in one more card for the ‘Case Your Favorite’ Challenge over at the Wee Memories blog before tonight’s deadline…
Not surprisingly, I’ve chosen another beauty by Dawn McVey – her style really inspires me and so does her Raspberry Suite stamp line for Papertrey Ink! I have cased the layout of these card & also used the Delightful Dahlias stamp. set, but changed the looked a little with a white background and gradient dahlias, heat embossed with white. The second card is the same design, but tried it on a kraft cardbase which was impressed with the Linen and Canvas Impression Plate from PTI. Not sure which one I prefer actually….what about you?
This card is also for the current challenge over at one of my fave blogs, A Passion for Papertrey – Perfectly Pretty Pearls.

Thanks for stopping by!
