Mirror Stamping

Hey everyone! Hope your weeks are all off to a good start. I have a super quick card to share today using the mirror stamping technique that was covered in the Clean & Simple Card Making Class. I used some sweet Lawn Fawn animals to give this a try. I was definitely inspired by this sweet card Chari made using these adorable cows.

This card is for the Anything Goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Final Wee Memories challenge

Hello everyone & happy Saturday! Hope you are all enjoying your weekends so far. I’m here today with the FINAL Wee Memories challenge – I can’t believe we are really winding this great challenge down! It will be so sad to see it go, but we really do wish the best for Jenny and her stamping future :-)

This week’s challenge is a great sketch — and we have 3 fab sponsors – There She Goes Stamps, The Twinery & May Arts! Definitely make sure you play along – lots of goodies to be won! I used the There She Goes Stamp set called Love Birds – I had so much fun coloring this sweet image! The sentiment is Papertrey Ink, but there is a super sweet sentiment in this set (I’m just hopeless at using digi stamps!).

Thanks for stopping by & be sure to upload your creations to the Wee Memories blog by next Friday January 20.

Clean & Simple Card Class – again!

Hi again! Back to share another card for Day 1 of Clean & simple Card Making. This is similar to my post from earlier today, just using different motifs. I had my husband in mind when I made this card – good masculine colors for Valentine’s Day…
Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Card Class – Day 1

I’m very excited to be taking part in the Clean & Simple Online Class – the first two days have been great – just the inspiration I’ve needed!
Yesterday Kristina provided us with some fab sketches and I have some Valentine’s Day cards to share using those sketches. I took some liberties, but the general idea is still the same…
I’m not sure a card which uses this much patterned paper is considered Clean & Simple – what do you think?

This card is also for the Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day Challenge. I’ll be back later sharing a similar card with slightly different motifs. Thanks for stopping by!

TGIF

Happy Friday everyone!

I had a request from someone recently for an engagement card and realized I’ve never come across a ‘Congratulations on your engagement’ sentiment in any stamp set — has anyone else? It is very common in the  UK to send engagement cards — and I’ve lived here long enough that I can’t remember if this is done in the states — is it?!?! Anyway, its on my *wish list* of sentiments…

So, onto the task at hand – this card is for Make It Mondays – Glitter Strips with Scor-tape and also the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop as I was able to use this lovely scalloped circle from Limitless Layers. I was definitely inspired by Dawn’s card in the video and already had my sites set on using this mat stack frame for the card as it is perfect for a wedding theme! The card says ‘Congratulations’ and it is a little hard to see in the picture, but fine in person!

The colors are inspired by the current Totally Hues Challenge over at the lovely Heather’s blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hi everyone!
I’m participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop for the first time this month & was very excited about the challenge: ‘This month’s blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!’

I have made 2 cards for the Blog Hop. The first uses Larger than Life and the second uses Heart Prints. Both of these sets are beautiful, but I don’t use them nearly as much as I would like.

Here is the first card – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Clean & Simple Stamping – sketch 124 – and the colors are for the Neutrals Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week in the Moxie Fab World Challenge. This ‘ribbon vase’ is much better in real life! As I definitely freed my creativity on this one, I’m also entering into the current challenge at Wee Memories.

My next card uses Heart Prints & Fancy Flourishes – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Get Sketchy. The colors are more pinks for the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. This also fits nicely with the current challenge, ‘Sweet Inspiration’ over at A Passion for Papertrey.

Thanks for visiting & enjoy the Blog Hop!

A very pink valentine…

Another quick post tonight – lots to catch up on before the week begins…

I wanted to play along with the current sketch over at Mojo Monday. I never seem to make it in time for this one, but pulled it off today! I chose the colors based on the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. I do like pink & use it quite a bit, but never THIS much and it was definitely a big challenge for me. As the colors are definitely outside of my comfort zone, I’ll also going to enter this into the current ‘Out of Your Comfort Zone’ challenge over at the lovely A Passion for Papertrey. I am not crazy about all that pink, but oh well – its very sweet & girly for Valentine’s Day. Its hard to see in the picture, but the small square of pink cardstock is shimmery in real life…

Thanks so much for the visit!
