Just for Fun

Hey friends! So, the little one & I are back in Zurich. We arrived on Tuesday after taking a red-eye & it is good to be home & slowly getting into the swing of things. The 6 hour time change is proving exhausting for both of us – we’re spending a lot of time awake between the hours of 10pm and 2am, but thats life. It is definitely worth it for a month spent with family & friends back home.

Anyway, it has been FOREVER since I made a card just because. I have a to do list a mile long, but last night I felt the need to just create something. I used the sketch over at Case this Sketch for inspiration and pulled out the most recent Simon Says Stamp kit – quick & easy.

HI
Nothing too fancy and not the best card I’ve ever made, but still fun to use some new goodies. Alright, have a great Friday & thanks for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge

Hello! Today is my first challenge as a DT member over at the 10 Minute Craft Dash – I’m super excited! I love the challenge so much and it has really pushed me to get back into crafting over the last year since moving to a new country & being a full time mom. I hope it inspires you as well to crafty even if you’re short on time!

The sponsor for the challenge is Clearly Besotted Stamps – they have gorgeous stamps and the winner will receive 2 stamp sets of their choice! Woohoo! Reason enough to play along.

So, onto the card. I have found that I need to keep my creations super simple to stay within the time & I often opt for spray mists for quick color. This took me 9 minutes & 51 seconds – just in the nick of time!

Mirror Stamping

Hey everyone! Hope your weeks are all off to a good start. I have a super quick card to share today using the mirror stamping technique that was covered in the Clean & Simple Card Making Class. I used some sweet Lawn Fawn animals to give this a try. I was definitely inspired by this sweet card Chari made using these adorable cows.

This card is for the Anything Goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Embossed Hearts

Hey everyone! I’m having a super busy week, so going to keep this short & sweet. It has started to dawn on me that my due date is fast approaching and there is lots to be done around the house (less than 3 weeks now!). I’ve been really enjoying the Clean & Simple Card Making Class but finding less & less time to make projects :-(

But, I did manage this quick card – I used a sketch from Day 1 and tone-on-tone embossing that I think was covered in Day 3 or 4. I also wanted to use a very white canvas, which was discussed yesterday – so lots of elements combined into one! This is also for the Moxie Fab Embossing & Debossing challenge and the Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day challenge – I used all PTI cardstock, ink & die cuts!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great rest of your week!

Happy Birthday Critters!

Phew, Friday already?!? Where is time going? I’ll keep this short & sweet as the to do list isn’t diminishing and it is already 4:30 here in the UK…

I have a simple & sweet birthday card to share today. This is actually for my dad, but could be great for just about anyone, including kids. I think I’ll do a few more of these – love the colors & the simplicity.

This card is for the current Play Date Cafe challenge & CAS-ual Friday challenge. I never think to make coordinating envelopes and this was so simple & just makes the card, so thanks CAS-ual Friday for the inspiration!
Have a great weekend!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Don’t look at the light!

Hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I’m here today with a new Cupcake Craft Challenge today – Don’t look at the light – sparkles aplenty! I love me a bit of bling, but I kept it pretty subtle for this card.

We have two wonderful sponsors for this week – Cupcake Cards & Craft who are giving one lucky winner a paper collection of their choice and Saturated Canary who will be giving a winner two images of their choice. And our fab sponsor for this month is Polka Doodles – two winners will receive the Pretty Sweet CD.

Hope you have a chance to play along this week and don’t forget to check out all the great inspiration over on the Cupcake blog!

A cheerful snowman

Hello! Can’t believe it is Wednesday already – really don’t know where the time goes! I have another quick holiday card to share today. I finally inked up the super cute Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends and made a very simple card that is easy-peasy to mass produce. The sketch is based on the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.

This card is also for the current Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks for stopping by and have a good rest of your week!

Wee Memories Challenge – Birthdays & Parties

Hey everyone & happy Saturday!

I don’t really have birthday parties, but with a little one on the way I have a feeling I will in the future. I hope I can find the time & energy to always make my own invites. Anywho, onto today’s project…

Wee Memories Challenge – Brads, Buttons or Bows

Hello blog friends!

I feel like it has been ages since I stopped in for a visit. Between moving house, being pregnant & trying to get a UK driver’s license, life is absolutely crazy. I have now set up my craft room though and its a real treat to create in my new space (even though I’ve only had about 20 minutes in there so far!). Its a small room, but its all mine and the mess isn’t offending anyone ;-)

I’m excited to be back in the swing of things sharing a card for the new Wee Memories challenge – an especially fun one – brads, buttons or bow. I love all of these things so this was easy-peasy for me :-) I chose to use a bow, but struggle to leave a bow without a button…

I’ve made a similar card in the past, but wanted to try to use some non-girly papers on this otherwise very feminine card and I think it turned out well! I never use this Cosmo Cricket Social Club paper & I definitely think I should break it out more often.

Our fab sponsor this week is Jay Gee’s Nook, who are generously offering a $20 gift certificate to the winner. Make sure to check out the store – it is full of paper crafty goodness. And don’t forget to visit all the DT blogs for a good dose of inspiration!

Hope to be back again soon sharing more projects!
