10 Minute Craft Dash #24

Hey friends! I can’t believe it is time for another 10 Minute Craft Dash. It was such a great birthday celebration – thanks to everyone who joined in the festivities. Hopefully you’re inspired now to take on the challenge because there is a new color combo today and it is gorgeous!

And, we have a great sponsor – Gossamer Blue is giving their August Bits & Pieces kit to one lucky winner! This is an amazing prize!!!

Onto today’s card – this took me the whole 10 minutes – I was glueing down my last heart as the timer went off. I’m not sure what made this card so much more time consuming, but I know I did waste a good 30 seconds, if not more, trying to get a heart out of the die cut! And in the rush of the card, I lost the little bike basket stamp – eeek! I’m sure it will turn up soon though ;-)

Thats all for me today – and a quick apology for my sporadic posting at the moment – life is crazy as I’m preparing for a big craft fair and an upcoming trip back home to the states. I will be posting more Project Life and other projects as soon as I am able!

A Blog Named Hero challenge – Victorious Vellum

Hey there!

Today is my last guest post at A Blog Named Hero – it has been great to be a guest – such great girls full of inspiration! I’m sharing a card for the new challenge – to use vellum. Vellum is definitely the come-back kid of 2013! I used vellum back in the day when I started scrapbooking, but it started gathering dust until recently.

I colored the vellum with Copics and punched out circles. Because the vellum is colored, I was able to run it through a Zyron without the adhesive showing through. I added a stamped sentiment, patterned paper and stapled on some twine. This is a super easy card and gets you a lot more mileage from clear vellum.
Make sure to check out the rest of the DT inspiration and join in the fun. There is a great Simon Says Stamp gift certificate up for grabs too!

A Blog Named Hero July Challenge

Hey! Back today with another A Blog Named Hero guest post. Today is their new challenge – inspired by a Hero Arts artist. No problem there – their design team has all my faves – Lisa Spangler, Lucy Abrams, Jennifer McGuire & more! I chose Jennifer McGuire – she is so talented and such a sweet person too – I had the pleasure of meeting her 2 years ago at CHA.

Anyway, I love all her watercolor projects – I was inspired by the watercolor background of this project and used that as my jumping off point.

This challenge is sponsored by the oh-so-generous Simon Says Stamp – they’re offering a $25 Gift Certificate to the winner – yay!
Make sure to visit A Blog Named Hero for all the challenge details & be sure to play along!

Giving Paisley a Try…

Wahoo – Friday night! Hope everyone had a good week. Ours was busy, but I’m hoping for a relaxing weekend. I’ve been promised some crafty time, but we’ll see – it usually doesn’t happen :-)

Anyway, just wanted to share a quick card. I recently bought the WPlus9 Paisley stamp set – I love the images. I think the options will be endless with this set, but kept it simple for this card. I used the current Studio Calico sketch as inspiration and the colors are inspired by the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board.

Oh Snap
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Thinking of You

Morning! Very quick post this morning! I recently received my Simon Says Stamp June card making kit – let me just say getting monthly kits is so much fun! It definitely keeps me inspired & knowing I will get a box every month really feeds my craft supply addiction (not sure thats a good thing though!).

Anyway, I made this card using the Case this Sketch design as inspiration. Love this mix of papers in the kit & thought I would also link this up for the Moxie Fab World Mixy Matchy Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by & come back later to check out a Wplus9 Paisley card. I can’t wait to get my hands on their new floral set, but it is sold out EVERYWHERE!

Sending Hugs

Wednesday already? I don’t know where time goes. The days are long, but the weeks fly, if that makes any sense! Anyway, wanted to share a quick card I made earlier this week for the current CAS-ual Friday challenge – Map Quest. I hope a globe qualifies as a map :-) I made something similar for my dad for Father’s Day – seems appropriate living so far from home.

That’s all for now – check back later for a card using the June Simon Says Stamp Kit – loved all those Basic Grey Hipster goodies!

1 stamp, 2 ways

Hello! Another quick post tonight – squeezing in some more Valentine’s Day cards. One of the great features of the Clean & Simple Online Card Class is the 1 stamp, 3 ways. I was attempting that with these cards, but only managed 2 ways…hopefully I’ll have a chance to come up with a 3rd variation sometime soon!

These cards use the Hero Arts Old Letter Writing woodblock stamp – in one instance as a portion of the background and in the other card, stamped onto die cut hearts.

The first card is for the current Passion for Papertrey Valentine’s Day challenge, too!

Thanks for stopping by!
