Warm & fuzzy hearts

Wow, what a crafty weekend I’ve had! Between keeping up with the latest celebrations over at Papertrey Ink & trying to do some magazine submissions, I have been one busy stamper. Doesn’t get much better than that ;-)

A quick Valentine’s Day card tonight – its for lots of different challenges – Sweet Inpriation over at a Passion for Papertrey, Hearts Gone Wild at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, and Love is in the Air over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. The colors were inspired by the current challenge over at Off the Wall Craftiness and I managed to put this together using just scraps – so, its also going into the scrap challenge at Wee Memories.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo from Off the Wall Craftiness:

Thanks for stopping by & to all my American friends enjoy the Superbowl!ο»Ώ

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hi everyone!
I’m participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop for the first time this month & was very excited about the challenge: ‘This month’s blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!’

I have made 2 cards for the Blog Hop. The first uses Larger than Life and the second uses Heart Prints. Both of these sets are beautiful, but I don’t use them nearly as much as I would like.

Here is the first card – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Clean & Simple Stamping – sketch 124 – and the colors are for the Neutrals Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week in the Moxie Fab World Challenge. This ‘ribbon vase’ is much better in real life! As I definitely freed my creativity on this one, I’m also entering into the current challenge at Wee Memories.

My next card uses Heart Prints & Fancy Flourishes – the sketch is based on the current challenge over at Get Sketchy. The colors are more pinks for the Monochramatics Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week  over at Moxie Fab World. This also fits nicely with the current challenge, ‘Sweet Inspiration’ over at A Passion for Papertrey.

Thanks for visiting & enjoy the Blog Hop!

More Valentine’s Day fun

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had lovely weekends – went too fast for me as usual and not very much time to get inky! Oh well – hopefully I’ll find a spare minute sometime this week.
I did come up with a few Valentine’s Day Cards for friends & I thought I’d share them.
I have been really keen to ink up my new Lawn Fawn goodies and they are so fun! The first one is more of a ‘scene’ than I usually create (thus being entered into the Passion for Papertrey challege!).
The next one is inspired by a card in the Paper Craft’s Color Inspiration for Card Makers magazine that featured a string of hearts – I loved the idea for Valentine’s Day. Here is my take:
Finally used my new Papertrey Ink Heart Prints die & also my Tiny Attacher – what fun!

More wedding fun

Feeling pretty exhausted today at work after going to a great wedding last night. My husband was the best man and my in-laws were here as well, so we had a busy weekend. No time for card making, but plenty of time for celebrating. Have a lot of work to do now to get ready for the holiday card rush, but thought I would share the card I made for the happy newlyweds – managed to get this done yesterday about an hour before the wedding!

Over at Wee Memories, Jenny is running a challenge using pink, which is easy-peasy for me as I use it a lot! The design was inspired by the sketch over at Card Positioning Systems – simple, clean lines – just my style. The card is also inspired by a Maile Belles card I saw in a previous issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. I’m also submitting it for the Passion for Papertrey challenge using scraps as I was able to pull all these paper bits from my scrap drawer!

Thanks for visiting!
