Neat & Tangled Day 3 – Maple Leaves

Hello & welcome back for Neat & Tangled release week. We are already on day 3 and today we are featuring a gorgeous stamp & die – Maple Leaves. This journaling card stamp is perfect for scrapbooking, cards, mini albums, Project Life and so much more. I adore these 3×4 stamps – great for a quick focal point on a standard size card.

I took out my handy Distress Markers for this one -the easiest and quickest way to watercolor! I chose some pinks, oranges and yellows and colored away. You really can’t go wrong here with such a gorgeous image. I took a strip of watercolor paper and added a splatter for the edge to tie all the colors together. I popped the journaling card up on foam adhesive over a strip of burlap and added a button to finish it all off. I was feeling very autumnal when I made this!!

That is all for me today and this is also my last Neat & Tangled Release week for a couple months. We are due for baby #2 in the next few weeks so I will be taking some time off as we adjust to life as a family of 4!

Make sure to stop by the Neat & Tangled blog to see all the other DT projects and comment for your chance to win. Don’t forget – all new stamps go on sale on Friday! Woohoo!

Neat & Tangled Release Week – Day 2

Hi there! Welcome back for more Neat & Tangled release week fun! Today’s sets are amazing!!! Bible Journaling & Bible Journaling Companions. The lettering in these sets is seriously swoon-worthy. I personally don’t do any Bible journaling, but the uses for these big words is endless. I fancied up some cheap Ikea notebooks for my projects today.

I stamped a row of inspirational words along the right side of the journal and then balanced it out with the heart from Heart of Gold on the left. I colored in some random triangle with a black gel pen, white gel pen and a gold sharpie marker. I anchored the bottom with some gold washi, white striped washi & black twine.

Next up, a simplified version of the journal above. I wanted to focus on the words and the message on this cover. I incorporated the script-style font from Bible Journal Companions and let the lovely words shine. I anchored the journal with a strip of washi.

Be sure to head over to the Neat & Tangled blog to get a look at all the amazing DT projects and comment for your chance to win a stamp set. All sets from this week will be for sale on Friday – mark your calendars – they are going to go quick!! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Neat & Tangled Release – Day 1

Hello! Can’t believe it is time again for another Neat & Tangled release. This release is packed full of gorgeous sets for the autumn that you are going to love. I adore today’s set – Pumpkin Everything – which is also this month’s You’re So Neat incentive stamp. I love this time of year – pumpkin lattes, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin carving – it’s the best. It is really starting to feel like autumn here in Zurich too, so this felt very appropriate!

I created the card background with 4 sheets of patterned paper from an old Amy Tangerine paper pad I had lying around – I love these colors for fall. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of rustic white cardstock, fussy cut the image and inked the edges before popping it up with foam adhesive. Really simple, but lots of fun!

Make sure to check out all the amazing DT creations today over on the Neat & Tangled blog and don’t forget to comment for your chance to win a stamp set!

Have a great Monday!

Elle’s Studio August Reveal

It is the 10th of the month and time for another Elle’s Studio reveal. The kit this month is gorgeous, with a very cheerful sherbet color palette. It is one of my favorite kits of the whole year and I can’t wait to make more projects with it – you will adore it!

My first card for this month uses some of the lovely little banners. I love how useful these are – great for any type of project. I strung these on a piece of gold twine, along with the lovely red vellum heart and a pink acyclic heart from the XO Acrylic add-on. I mounted the entire string on a watercolored background. I love creating these simple backgrounds as soon as I receive my kit – then I have a few ready to go for various projects that coordinate with the kit colors.
I stamped the details label with a sentiment from the Sycamore Lane stamp set and embellished the banners with some watercolor splatters. Details_detail
My next card uses the Here We Go Printables. The card base is a 4×6 journaling card. I added a strip of grey cardstock to anchor down the right side, where I did a cluster of embellishments. The tag and circle element are also from the printables and the little yellow banner is from the kit. The pink acrylic heart is part of the XO Acrylics – these are a must!!

Neat & Tangled Release Week – Day 4

Another amazing day with new Neat & Tangled products. Today’s stamp set is a favorite of mine & I’m sure it will be getting a lot of love in my craft room – Handstitched. This adorable set comes with matching dies and has such a nice collection of images and sentiments.

I decided to make a super simple notecard set using the images – I had my mom in mind when I created these as she is an avid quilter. I kept it simple to let the sweet, stitched images shine. The cards are 3 3/4″ square.

Neat & Tangled Release Week – Day 2

Hello! I am so bummed I missed day 1 of the Neat & Tangled release – it was amazing, right?? Great projects from the design team. But, I’m here for day 2 sharing projects with 2 new sets – Life is Beautiful & My Sunshine. These stamps are both great – such sweet images in Life is Beautiful & My Sunshine features Danielle’s stunning handwriting. My Sunshine is the July/August incentive stamp – for more details check out this post.

Onto the projects…I kept things super simple for the Life is Beautiful set – I wanted to focus on the adorable little potted flowers. I did some simple coloring with Copics & popped the cream panel up on kraft with foam squares. I just adore the tiny images.

Next up is My Sunshine. I decided to make a Project Life 3″x4″ filler card using the sentiment. The background was made using the Sunburst stamp. I stitched through each ray to add some interest to the card. I then stamped and fussy-cut the sentiment and popped it up with foam. This will add such a bright pop of color to a summer scrapbook page!

Head over to the Neat & Tangled blog and comment for your chance to win Life is Beautiful! And make sure to check out all the gorgeous DT projects as well. All stamps will be available to purchase on the Neat & Tangled site from Friday. Hope you have a great week & happy shopping :-)

Elle’s Studio July Reveal

July already??? This is just plain crazy. The year is seriously flying by. We are having a scorcher of a summer so far here in Zurich and I really hope it lasts – often we get a very warm spell early on and then rain for most of July just in time for my little one’s daycare to close!! Fingers crossed our heat wave lasts, though minus a few degrees for me & my pregnant belly :-)

Today is all about summer for the Elle’s Studio July reveal. This kit is amazing – full of great journaling cards, bright colors and perfect accents. I really enjoyed working with it. I am working on a little 8×8 album to try to get through some of my photos from last year and the kit worked perfectly to help with this summery page. I want to keep this scrapbook super simple – something I can actually finish – so the page was easy & quick.

EveryMomentMatters EveryMomentMatters_detail

I used papers from the Let’s Eat collection and created a simple edge with the reverse of the striped paper. I stitched along the paper edge to create some interest. The amazing vellum stars are included in the kit (I adore these!!) and the white acrylic star is part of an add-on that can’t be missed! The colors from the kit coordinate perfectly with the paper from the Let’s Eat collection, so this page came together in a snap!

Next up, a card (shocker, I know!)

Celebrate Celebrate_detail

The paper is another sheet from the Let’s Eat collection and the border is actually part of that extra bit on 12×12 paper, but I thought it made the perfect border for a card. The vellum star, banner and tag are all from the July kit and the stars are the Acyclic Stars add-on.

This month’s stamp set, printables and cut files are all amazing too.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, the first 150 kits purchased will receive the “love this” acrylic piece as a free gift and special thank you – this acrylic piece will not be available for purchase separately & let me tell you, it is AMAZING! Elle will keep the product listing updated to reflect when the free gift is no longer available.

So that is all for the July reveal. It is such an amazing kit – hurry up and head over to the Elle’s Studio website so you don’t miss your chance to get the kit & the free gift! And make sure to check out the rest of the design team inspiration!
