Paper Smooches Sparks – Anything Goes

Hey friends. Hope you’ve been having a great weekend! Maybe you had a chance to get crafty for National Scrapbook Day yesterday? Unfortunately, no such luck for me – I am so behind on my Project Life! One of these days I will catch up…maybe.

Anywho, onto today’s new challenge. It is Anything Goes time at Paper Smooches Sparks. Definitely no excuses – you’re going to get ink anyway, right? How about dusting off an old set and giving it a new spin? Or use something new that is sitting on your desk waiting patiently to be inked?

I chose to use the gorgeous Botanicals 1, paired with a sentiment from Pretty Phrases. I did a watercolor wash for the background behind the lovely florals and leaves. I stamped the sentiment with Charcoal Hero Arts ink and stitched the panel to an orange card base. I usually opt for more neutral card bases, but felt like this needed an extra something.

Thanks so much for stopping by today – have a great weekend and make sure to check out all the amazing DT creations & play along!

Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes

Hey Paper Smooches fans! A fun new challenge for today and the holiday weekend – it is Anything Goes time! So, no excuses – get in that craft room & ink up some Paper Smooches and share your creative creations with us – we love to see them!

I wanted to do something super simple for my card today. I think it can be easy to get carried away sometimes with all the products, clever die-cutting, etc. And, whilst I love all that, I felt the need to just let the lovely images from Botanicals 2 shine with some generational stamping. This is quite easily one of my favorite leaf & floral sets ever – I just adore it. The sentiment is from another great set – Salutations.
