Chipboard fun

Hello again! It is going to be a busy week here on the blog! Today I’m popping in to share a quick clean & simple baby card using chipboard. I have a big stash of chipboard and I just love when I can put it to good use.
This card is for the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays & Lily Pad Cards.

Cupcake Challenge – Patchwork!

Good morning virtual crafty friends and happy Monday.

I’m here today with a fun challenge for Cupcake – this week we’re doing patchwork projects & your card must features patchwork of some kind. Our sponsor this week is the generous Simon Says Stamp who are offering one lucky winner a $20 gift certificate.

And, its a new month, which means we have a new monthly sponsor – this month we’re joined by Bunny Zoe’s, who are generously giving a £15 gift certificate.
So, onto this week’s project – this is a baby card and I made the ‘B’ by doing a messy arrangement of scraps onto a sheet of scrap paper & then die-cutting a large ‘B’ with my Cricut (thanks to some inspiration from the fab Betsy Veldman). The edges are messily stitched with pink and distressed with white ink.

Thanks for stopping by & don’t forget to check out the other DT projects – they are sure to inspire! Hope you have a chance to play along!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Gift Card

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had great weekends and are ready for another week. There is finally some sunshine in London, so I’m happy.

Today I’m back with another great Cupcake challenge. Hopefully you got to enjoy the Cupcake birthday treasure hunt! This week the challenge is a Gift Card – a card & gift in one. I put together this set of baby-oriented thank you notes that I’ll be giving to a girlfriend of mine who is about to deliver. I figure until she gets some personalised thank you notes made, she could use these easy-to-mail single layer cards.

This week we are joined by Bugaboo Stamps who are offering one lucky winner seven digital images!

And, because August is birthday month, we have 3 monthly sponsors! We are joined by Crafts U Love, who are generously giving a £15 Gift Voucher to spend in their store, Mo’s Digital Pencil, who are offering a $10 gift voucher and lastly, Sew Sweet.  Sew Sweet are offering one lucky winner a £10 Gift Voucher.

Make sure to visit the Cupcake blog to check out all the great DT creations and join the fun!

Washi Tape – how I love thee

Hello & thanks for stopping by!

So, yesterday I finally opened my new package of Washi Tape from Etsy seller Yur1kub0 and decided to make some clean & simple baby cards.

I was at a little bit of a loss for where to start with these gorgeous tapes, so I turned to the latest issue of Paper Crafts, Card Creations and CASEd a card by Courtney Kelley and stitched through a strip of Washi tape. I also used Lucy’s sketch over at Lily Pad Cards as inspiration for these simple cards. I think these would make a great set — looks like I’ll need more Washi tape!

Thanks for stopping by!

In the round

A super quick post tonight – I made a big mess making cards today and I’ve got to clean up before my other half gets home!

I never make round cards, but was inspired by the current challenge at Card Patterns & I thought I’d give it a try. This little number came together in no time and it is so sweet & cheerful – perfect for a new little boy! A great use of double-sided paper, which I often feel so guilty about using (I can’t stand the thought of one gorgeous side being stuck down forever!). Please excuse the bare nails!

The colors for this challenge are for the CR84FN Color challenge & because I used some chipboard stickers, this is also going into the Wee Memories challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Oh, Baby!

Wednesday evening already? I seriously don’t know where the time goes!

A couple baby cards to share today – I had so much fun using some sweet My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup chipboard for these.

This first card is a CASE of the super talented Laurie Willison’s card here. I was in love with this card when I saw it and really hope she doesn’t mind that I’ve borrowed the design & her clever use of gingham. She is one of my all time fave designers – I could CASE all her stuff!

Another simple & sweet little baby card – used some buttons & twine on this one for the current CAS-ual Friday challenge. Both cards also use stickers, so they’re going in for the current Wee Memories challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
