Elle’s Studio May Reveal

Hello! Today is another fun day on the blog. It is time for the Elle’s Studio May reveal – a day early! This month’s kit is adorable, with lots of cheery colors for spring time scrapbooking and card making. I adore the mix of purples, blues and yellow. I don’t use much purple in my crafting, but it works so well in this kit – it makes it easy to add little touches to your projects.

This first card uses the May printables. These circles are so much fun. I always like to print out the printables, cut or punch them and mix them right in with the rest of the kit – that way they definitely get used! If they just exist on the computer you’ll never remeber to use them and some of the cutest accents are in the printables and cut files. The stamp is from the Cienna collection and the patterned paper is from the Shine collection.

For the next card I used the Cienna collection - a lovely, bright card for spring – perfect for celebrating mom! I cut up the sheet of paper in the collection that has all the smaller accent strips, squares and journaling cards. This is another thing I never use, unless it is cut up and ready to put on a project. I love these squares – especially for smaller scale projects like cards or mini albums. They are the perfect spot for a stamped sentiment too! I stitched the banner in place and mounted the whole piece on a kraft card with foam adhesive.

Neat & Tangled Reveal – Day 5

Today is the last day of the Neat & Tangled release week – and it is one of the best! I hope you’ve enjoyed the week so far – I know we have on the design team. Today’s set is AMAZING. It has such a cool, retro vibe and it is perfect for father’s day, which is just around the corner. It is called ‘For the Record’.

Classic Classic_detail
I wanted to keep the look of this card vintage, so I chose some paper and embellishments from the Crate Paper Open Road collection and opted for a kraft card base. It is hard to see in the photo, but the card front is embossed with a a subtle linen design that gives it a little ore of an aged look. em

There are so many possibilities with this stamp set – paper piecing, watercoloring, Copic coloring – I can’t wait to use it again!

As always remember to head over to the Neat & Tangled blog to check out the rest of the DT projects and comment for your chance to win this set. All the products are available purchase from today on the Neat & Tangled website.  Thanks so much for stopping by during the release week – hope you have a great weekend with some time to get inky!

Neat & Tangled Reveal – Day 4

Woohoo! Today is planner day! I love my planner & was so excited to hear that Danielle would be doing a stamp set geared towards planners. The set, Planner Blocks, is more decorative and it is full of motivational phrases to put a smile on your face whenever you open up your planner.

I chose to to stamp the squares on a label sheet – this is a solid A4 label (similar to 8.5″ x 11″). Once the images were stamped on the sticky label, I trimmed them to size. I now have a big bowl to choose from to insert into my planner. I have noticed that most ink shows through the pages and I wanted these to be really bold, which is why I opted for to stamp them first on the sticky labels. I have an Erin Condren planner and the squares fit perfectly.

Neat & Tangled Reveal – Day 3

Another day and more lovely Neat & Tangled stamps & dies! Today we are showcasing the Just Hello stamp and die. This die is Danielle’s stunning handwriting with lots of lovely flourishes. I adore big word die cuts and I’m positive this will get lots of use in my craft room.

Hello Hello_detail
Talk about a swoon-worthy die cut!!!! I wanted to keep the card very simple so the focus would be on the lovely die cut.  I die cut the sentiment from a sheet of sticky-back cork- I love the texture of the cork combined with the flowy font. I chose a paper with a strong focal point and positioned the ‘hello’ at the bottom of the chevron design. The ‘hello’ is anchored with a simple banner and stamped with ‘Oh’ from the stamp set.

That is all for today – stop by the Neat & Tangled blog to check out all the design team creations and comment for your chance to win today’s stamp set. And don’t forget, this stamp & die will be available on the Neat & Tangled website for purchase.

Neat & Tangled Reveal – Day 2

Welcome back for another day of Neat & Tangled gorgeousness! Today’s stamp and die is stunning. The set is called Gardenia Blooms Journaling card stamp and it comes with a coordinating die. The size is perfect for pocket scrapbooking, cards, scrapbook pages and more.

For my first card, I wanted to focus on the gorgeous die cut. I embossed a sheet of paper with gold embossing powder – this is the quickest and easiest way to get gorgeous gold paper! – and then die cut the journaling card from the embossed paper. I mounted the die cut over a piece of floral paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things 6×6 pad with foam tape to give some depth. The journaling card is mounted at an angle on another piece of patterned paper from the same set and finished off with some coordinating twine & a wood heart.

Next up, a simple watercolor card using the stamp set. The image is stamped on watercolor paper and I did some quick watercoloring with my new Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set – they are divine! I dry embossed a woodgrain pattern on the kraft card front and swiped it with a white ink dauber for a little bit of detail. I mounted the journaling card with foam adhesive – so simple and elegant.

Neat & Tangled Reveal – Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of the Neat & Tangled release week. There is so much in store for you this week – the stamps, dies and embellishments are all stunning! You are going to love it. Lets get right to it – today we are showcasing Send Pretty Mail, which is this month’s incentive stamp set, the Hoop die and the gorgeous new sequins.

For Send Happy Mail, I created a set of lined and stamped envelopes. This little flower cluster is perfect to decorate just about anything, but I thought it would look sweet on the back of an envelope – and you can’t go wrong with Danielle’s stunning handwriting! I lined all the envelopes with patterned paper to give them a little something extra.

I can’t wait to use these envelopes! I think a lined envelope is the perfect touch for a handmade card – and with a stamped image on the outside – swoon! This small set has endless possibilities – just wait until you see the rest of the design team’s creations!

Next up, the Hoop die and sequin packs. There are some great new colors this month, but I went for the cheerful mix of gold, orange and pink. I stitched across my card in an alternating pattern of pink & orange and used the hoop die to create a shaker for the sequins. The sentiment is from the previously released Crafting is my Jam stamp set.
