I’m up on the Elle’s Studio blog today sharing a card I made with the new Cienna collection. Stop by for full instructions!
The last day of Neat & Tangled release week is here – it went so fast! I hope you’ve been inspired by the amazing sets this week and all the gorgeous design team projects. Today we are featuring a really fun set, Giving Tree. This set is super sweet with lots of unique tree trunk images and the sweetest little owls.
I kept this card super simple with some simple stamping and fussy cutting. I inked the edges of the owls and popped them up on foam adhesive for some dimension. I inked the card base with Distress Ink and and splattered it with some water to give some texture.

Hello friends! Sorry for the delay here. We’ve had a crazy 24 hrs. Our little boy had a bad fall at daycare yesterday afternoon and has a nasty bump on his head & a concussion, so we were up all night checking him. I’m one tired mama, but he is doing fine so that is all that matters!
So, onto today’s business! Another adorable stamp set coming your way today from Neat & Tangled – it is called Meowwww. If you are a cat lover, you will adore this set! The cats are making the cutest expressions and in the funniest positions. The sentiments are also perfect for any cat lover.
I started off by covering my card front with an adorable piece of grey polka dot paper from the new Elle’s Studio Cienna collection. I then die cut a frame from the right edge for windows. I stamped & colored the cats and fussy cut them. I carefully adhered them popping out of the window & sitting on the window ‘sill’.
I hope you enjoyed today’s projects – the design team will blow you away with this one! Even you non-cat people may be convinced! Don’t forget to comment on the blog for your chance to win this stamp set. It will be available to purchase from tomorrow!
Hi all! What a week on the blog – so many amazing new products! Today is day 3 of the Neat & Tangled release week and we are showcasing Paris & the Graduated Stripes Cover Plate. Both the set and the cover plate are amazing. The adorable Paris images & sentiments are sure to please any francophile! This stamp set will be available to purchase from the Neat & Tangled shop on Friday!
This adorable girl just begged to be watercolored in my opinion! I stamped her, along with the Eiffel tower, and did some quick & messy watercoloring to keep the design playful and fun. I added a little gold label with a pink heart and yellow enamel dot to pull in all the colors. I am incapable of leaving a watercolored card un-splattered, but, hey – c’est la vie!
Next up, the Graduation Stipes Cover Plate
Be still my die loving heart! I adore this cover plate! I used the die cut as a stencil and inked the stripes directly on my card base in an ombre of light pink to dark pink, with some pinky-reds thrown in for good measure. This cover plate would be amazing for so many projects though – I was thinking coordinating strips of patterned paper, stamping in the rectangles – the possibilities are endless. The sentiment is from Everyday Labels and those sequins from the January release are still on my desk getting lots of use.
That is all for me today. Be sure to stop by the Neat & Tangled blog to see the rest of the amazing projects from the design team and comment for your chance to win today’s stamp set! Everything will be available to purchase on Friday!
Hello! It is the 10th of the month and that means it’s time for another Elle’s Studio reveal. The March kit is GORGEOUS. All the elements coordinate beautifully with the new Cienna line, which is just about my favorite scrapbook collection ever.
I made cards again for this release. I felt like doing some watercoloring, so I used the March cut files & cut watercolor paper with some of the lovely new designs.
For this first card, I chose some paper from the Sycamore collection to create my background. I then used the Daily Grind Printables to cut the journaling card and the ‘sunshine’ tab. The gorgeous outline flowers, which I quickly watercolored, are from the March cut files. Some simple stitching and twine finished off this springy card.
Next up, my favorite color combination – yellow & grey (with a touch of pink!). There are lots of possibilities in the kit for this combo, so I was very excited. I adore this striped journaling card and felt it was just begging to be stitched! I made a little cluster behind the journaling card with some of the ephemera in the kit, including that great vellum scalloped circle. The tag is from the cut files – it is watercolored and popped up with some foam adhesive. The patterned paper is from the Love You More collection.
Make sure to check out the Elle’s Studio blog for all the reveal fun and be sure to visit the design team gallery, which is filled to the brim this month with unbelievable inspiration featuring the March kit and the new Cienna collection. Don’t delay on snagging your kit – they will sell fast!! Happy shopping!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Oh, and if you are looking for day 2 of the Neat & Tangled release -here it is.
Welcome back for day 2 of the Neat & Tangled release week. Today is an extra special one for me – we are debuting the Dala Horse stamp and die set and Scandinavian Flowers. My husband is Swedish and I adore all Scandinavian design. On our first trip to Stockholm, I thought I had died & gone to heaven. I could have spent the whole day in Svenskt Tenn – a design store that carries a wide range of Josef Frank designs – my favorite designer. I love the busy and bold designs of Swedish textiles – the use of color is just extraordinary. I chose this design as my inspiration.
I wanted to keep the front all about the Dala Horse & Scandinavian Flowers, so I opted to put the sentiment on the inside. I used the small Dala Horse die for the first part of the sentiment to showcase that adorable horse die.

I’ve got a quick card to share tonight. I stamped the floral bouquet from Hero Arts Night and Day Flowers and did some messy watercoloring over the image. I did a little cluster of labels and embellishments, with a strip of this adorable washi along the bottom. I popped the whole piece up on a kraft card.
This card is for the Hero Arts Nature challenge.
I’m calling it a night. Our shop opens on Tuesday and I’ve been working non-stop so I’m one tired mama tonight! Have a great rest of your week.
Happy Saturday! How is your weekend going? I hope you are staying warm! We are having another cold & grey day here in Zurich – we seem to have a lot of these in February. I’m ready for Spring – how about you?
We’re in the final week before opening our small shop, so it’s all work here! The store is looking cute – it will be filled with handmade paper goods from me and another paper crafting enthusiast friend here in Zurich. I’ll also be stocking some basic supplies and teaching workshops. It is a totally different direction than I ever imagined taking, but you never know unless you try, right? I’m hoping to share some photos next week when we’re all ready for our opening!
I had a chance to throw together a very quick card for the current Waffle Flower challenge. I used their gorgeous feather set, Feather More, and the sentiment set, In Every Way – I think both will get a lot of use in my craft room!
And here is the inspiration photo
Thanks for stopping by & happy weekend!
