Fall Foliage

Evening friends! Just popping in to share a quick card I made for the current Paper Smooches Sparks challenge – I loved the inspiration photo with all the gorgeous leaves.

I used some new Distress Markers – the special seasonal collections (my faves) to create this simple card. I usually would have gone for a kraft card base, but opted for the purple as I thought it really made the flowers pop. I usually never work with purple, but I think it works with this.

I’m also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hey friends!

I’m participating in the Papertrey Ink blog hop today for the first time in what feels like about a year! I never get my act together in time, but this month I somehow managed. The challenge for this month was to create 5 holiday tags. I love making tags but trying to keep things simple lately in the interest of time – stuck with a simple design, stamping & coloring – no extra frills.

PTIOctHop
For some reason these ended up being very time consuming, but not quite sure why! After coloring each wreath with Memento markers I covered the baubles with Stella Wink of Glitter – wish the photos captured the shine – really lovely in real life!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas is a coming!

Hey! Sorry (again!) for the quiet blog. Life is still crazy here. I don’t really know how everyone with more than 1 child does it – I can barely manage to keep things organized with 1 and he is only 20 months! Can’t imagine 2 or 3 kids with busy schedules – literally can’t image. Anywho, I digress.

I have a quick Christmas card to share – the holiday cards are now in full gear – my first Christmas fair is November 14th – yikes!

Sendingholidaywishes
This card is super simple & came together easily with the help of this gorgeous Authentique Christmas paper.  This sketch is really my go-to at the moment – good to find something that works when time is tight.

Oh, and I know I promised to be sharing my Project Life spreads. I wanted to say that I still plan on sharing, but the pictures of my spreads are so bad, I’m trying to improve some photography skills before I start sharing more!

Have a great day!

10 Minute Craft Dash #28

Hey friends!
So sorry for the quiet blog lately – I have had a lot to catch up on in this first week back to real life in Zurich after a month long holiday!

Anyway, here as usual on the 3rd Wednesday of the month to share a new challenge over at the 10 Minute Craft Dash! As a DT and big supporter of Paulina, we’d love some feedback on the challenge – you can read her post here. But, onto the fun – a new challenge sponsored by the fab Paper Sweeties.

So, onto today’s creation. For me the trick to getting the card done in 10 minutes is to use one of my go-to sketches. I don’t try to reinvent the wheel in 10 minutes – do what works!

Ok, thats all for today! Thanks for stopping by & be sure to check out the
amazing DT creations & play along.

Just for Fun

Hey friends! So, the little one & I are back in Zurich. We arrived on Tuesday after taking a red-eye & it is good to be home & slowly getting into the swing of things. The 6 hour time change is proving exhausting for both of us – we’re spending a lot of time awake between the hours of 10pm and 2am, but thats life. It is definitely worth it for a month spent with family & friends back home.

Anyway, it has been FOREVER since I made a card just because. I have a to do list a mile long, but last night I felt the need to just create something. I used the sketch over at Case this Sketch for inspiration and pulled out the most recent Simon Says Stamp kit – quick & easy.

HI
Nothing too fancy and not the best card I’ve ever made, but still fun to use some new goodies. Alright, have a great Friday & thanks for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash #27

Woohoo – first Wednesday of the month & time for another 10 Minute Craft Dash! We have a FAB sponsor for this challenge – Avery Elle. I am collecting quite the collection of Avery Elle stamps & I love them.

Now, I know this color palette is very Halloween-y, but I took it a different route and put some Studio Calico paper & embellishments to good use (and forced the hoarding to end…). The sentiment is from a previous Studio Calico Project Life kit.

Season’s Greetings

Hey there! So sorry for the absence. I was really hoping to blog more while I was here in America, but it has been beyond crazy & busy. But, I made this before I left & thought I’d share it – Christmas cards are already starting – time just flies!

SeasonsGreetings
I just love this Hero Arts stamp set that is a few years old – I go back to it again & again for Christmas cards – it is so elegant. The beautiful paper is from one of my favorite Christmas paper packs from Authentique.
Thats all for today – check back on Wednesday for a new 10 Minute Craft Dash!
