Trio of Teddies

3bears

Hey friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have a quick card to share – I made this for a friend who recently had their 2nd little girl. I meant to play along with the Case this Sketch & the 10 Minute Craft Dash, but missed both deadlines! Thats life at the moment!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

One last card for Gallery Idol

Hey everyone! We finally had a nice day here in Zurich – I took the opportunity to plant my flowers – such a nice feeling. It has been about 3 weeks of constant rain and the forecast is for more on the way, but at least the view into my yard is now colorful & bright.

Trainbday

Anyway, onto today’s card – this is my last entry for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol. I went with a kid’s card this time – I think I channeled all the inner teenager I could muster! I had my train-loving nephews in mind when I made this.

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

ThinkingofYou_PTI

Hello! Hope everyone is having a good Saturday. We’ve been busy, but enjoying a few moments without rain after about 10 days of non-stop pouring. BBQ is out and after putting the little one to bed, its steak & wine time for mom & dad! Anyway, sharing a quick card I made for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hope & Case Study Challenge.

I loved the inspiration photos and colors for this month’s challenge – I chose the Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest & Ripe Avocado – these are my go to colors. I would have liked to push myself a bit with some of the other combos, but time was not on my side this time around!

This is also for the current challenge at Case Study – I loved the layout of Maile’s card (as usual!) and used the same design – with the leaves & flowers popped up with foam adhesive.

Ok, thats all from me – thanks so much for stopping by – I really appreciate it!

Gallery Idol Take 2

Hey again blog friends!

EnjoyYourDay

Sharing another card for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol competition. I thought the sweet outfit & color combo would be fitting for a teenager. I would love this outfit now & I think I would have loved it 15 years ago too (can’t believe it has been that long since I’ve been a teenager!).

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

HB2U

HB2U

Hello!

Another quick post tonight – lots to do at home & I keep getting lured into my craft room instead! I wanted to share an entry for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2013. The first round challenge is to make a birthday card for a teen. I went with bold, neon colors & HB2U in gold stickers – I know teenagers are very into abbreviating so thought it was fitting .

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Sparks DT Entry

Hey everyone. Just popping in to share a very quick project today (it is a holiday here in Zurich and we are out & about). I am submitting this for the current DT call at the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. I would be so honored to be part of the team!

DeepestSympathy_Sparks
When I reach for my Paper Smooches stamps I am always inclined to make fun & cutesy cards – I wanted to challenge myself to create something a little more sophisticated and elegant. I used a previous Designer Drafts challenge as the inspiration for the design.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great week!

Glittery Goodness

Hey! Hope everyone had a lovely Mother’s Day. It was a rainy one here in Zurich, but we had a nice day & spent some good quality time together as a family. I was hoping for some crafty time as my present, but soft play prevailed! Oh well – still managed to make a quick card today. I needed some bright colors in the midst of all the Spring rain we have here…

Its Your Day

This card came together pretty quickly with the help of scor-tape in various widths and a super cute cut file from Studio Calico for the banner. I am going to include it in the current A Blog Named Hero Glitter  All that Glitters challenge and also the CAS-ual Friday 100th Challenge Tic-Tac-Toe — I went diagonal with Birthday, Bling & Punches/Dies.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Hip Hello

Hey everyone – hope your week is off to a good start!
Hello

Confession time: I have a SERIOUS stash of hoarded embellishments waiting to be used – or memorialized – I haven’t figured out which yet! I love buying the matching embellishments with 6×6 paper pads, but I don’t scrapbook much (though watch this space for some Project Life layouts coming soon), and I never seem to put them to good use.

Anywho, I saw the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge and thought I could use some of these Amy Tangerine Sketchbook products I’ve been staring at for a year! I misted the panel, added the fabric strips & watercolor embellishment. As this is a watercolor-inspired card, I am also linking this up for the Moxie Fab World Wonder of Watercolor Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Mother’s Day Blog Hop

Love, Admire, Respect You
Love,admire,respect_detail
Welcome to the Mother’s Day Inspiration Blog Hop. You may have seen the other three inspiration Blog Events we have done including 12 Days of Christmas, Valentine’s and Easter. We’ve decided to give ourselves a name, so we are now officially “The Inspiration Crew”.
This time we’re doing a 1 day blog hop to provide you with lots of Mother’s Day Inspiration. We’re making projects we like, using products we like and this time we have prizes!! Some of the generous ladies in the hop are offering several fun crafty prizes that are listed below. To be eligible to win a prize just leave comments on the participating blogs by midnight EST Monday, May 6. Winners will be announced on Donna’s blog Wednesday, May 8.

This card is inspired by one of my favorite card makers, Jennifer McGuire. I love everything she creates – she is so inspirational. I heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder on watercolor paper. Using Distress Markers, I colored the flowers and leaves – the markers are so amazing – I can’t watercolor at all, but they make it very easy! I’ll be entering this in the Moxie Fab World Wonder of Watercolor Challenge & also for the Case Study Design Team search – I would love to part of such a great team!

You should have come here from Jen Cuthbertson’s blog & thats the last stop on the road! Thanks for taking part!

Prize List
1. A Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6×6 paper pad
2. An “Embellishment Pack” full of goodies from GCD Studios, Hobby Lobby and Creative Charms
3. A 12×12 Basic Grey Lucille Collection Pack
4. A Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack from the Twinery ($20 value)
