More Mister Hueys

Hey Everyone!

Just popping in tonight with a very quick post. I’ve been following along (albeit about a week behind!) with the Studio Calico You’ve Got Mail class, taught by Lisa Spangler. She demonstrated another great technique with Mister Huey’s Spray Mists – a dip-dye look – and I thought I’d have a little try – it was great to get a bit inky just for fun.

After inking the bottom, I did some splatters on the top. Used some Heidi Swapp vinyl letters for the sentiment, stitched through with pink glitter thread. As per Lisa’s suggestion, the card is inked along with edge with silver – it really makes such a difference!

I thought I would share a quick card today – this came together so easily thanks to the gorgeous new watercolor stamp from Papertrey Ink. I have also been experimenting more with Mister Huey’s – they’re so much fun! And I used a tip from Lisa Spangler and lined the edges with silver – makes such an impact in real life.

I am always inspired by Julie Ebersole’s use of spray ink – and her card over at CASE challenge this week is no exception – I thought I’d use her card as inspiration & play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

Card Creations vol. 11 Blog Hop

Hello & welcome to the Paper Crafts Magazine Card Creations vol. 11 Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of the amazingly talented Karolyn Loncon! I am so honored to be part of this hop – it is a truly inspiring line up of creative designers.
This issue is full of such wonderful creations – and you have a chance to win a free copy right here! All you need to do is leave a comment by Tuesday March 12th for a chance to snag a copy. Don’t forget to visit all the designers along the way – more chances to win & so many amazing cards to check out.

For the project today we were asked to use one of the downloadable sentiments available on the Paper Crafts website here. I am visiting family right now in California and have ZERO supplies with me. Luckily my mom is an avid quilter and we made do with a sewing machine and some new goodies. It was a good creative challenge to come up with something without my paper trimmer, scissors, inks & stamps!

Hope you enjoyed this little creation – remember to comment for your chance to win & enjoy your next stop over at Rae Barthel‘s blog! And in case you get lost along the way – here is a list of the complete blog hop:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
