Rainbow Wedding Wishes

Hello all!

Just a quick post tonight – I’m preparing for my 12 hour flight tomorrow back home to California. I’ll be traveling with my one year old without my husband — I’m terrified!

I have been missing all the Papertrey Ink anniversary fun this last week because life is so crazy, but I was determined to get one project in. I made this wedding card for my cousin. I know the colors will be very cheerful at the wedding and I loved this color combo (#6) from Nichole’s blog. I used the ink colors to create a blended background.

I’ll be on vacation for the next few weeks, but hopefully I’ll sneak a few projects in here & there. Have a great day!

Blueprints Butterfly

Hello again!

I love the new Tim Holtz Blueprints stamp sets. One of my favorite images is in the Easter set – unfortunately I don’t make many Easter cards so the other designs won’t be that useful, but I couldn’t resist the butterfly!

I finally had a chance to ink it up – I wanted to keep the card simple so the image was the focal point. I inked it with Distress markers and misted it, before stamping onto Kraft cardstock. Next, simply added a sentiment and some zig-zag stitching with glittery thread and called it a day.

The sketch loosely follows the sketch from Lucy’s blog for her first day of Sketch week – love all her sketches! Thanks for stopping by!

Almost a year…

Hey blog friends!

I wanted to share some photos from Jacob’s first birthday party this weekend. Despite being pretty sick, I managed to pull off all the decorations and the food for our 30 guests + kids. It was hard, but so worth it! I can’t believe our little guy is almost 1 – time is flying!

I bought a birthday kit off Etsy from Paper Glitter – it had so many adorable details. As I had lots of supplies on hand & some patterned papers that coordinated, I embellished them a bit to add a little something special & unique.

And here is the birthday boy!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Day 7 of 7 Days of Valentine’s Day Projects

Welcome to Day 7 of The 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event (2 days late!). Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days – just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects.

I wanted to do a masculine card, but got a little bit carried away with all my stitching! I haven’t used my sewing machine in awhile and I just couldn’t stop apparently – I actually don’t loooove the card, but oh well! The sketch is based on the current challenge over at CAS(e) this Sketch.

You will find links to all the other participating bloggers below. Hopefully you can find time to look at their blogs and leave comments on any that inspire you. Happy Valentine Crafting & hope you enjoyed all the projects during the blog hop! Day 6 of 7 Days of Valentine’s Day Projects

Welcome to Day 5 of The 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event. Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days – just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects.

I’m here today sharing another version of the Lisa Spangler CASE I did – this one is pretty similar to her’s – I’ve just  used different colors & hearts. The background stamp is the same though – I had never inked this up and I really like the result.
