Cupcake Craft Challenge = take a leaf out of my book

Hello! Back again on this autumnal Monday to share a new Cupcake challenge. This week’s theme is ‘take a leaf out of my book.’ You need to use leaves as the main interest of the project – either the image or embellishments.

I have a few leaf stamps that I just adore, and chose this Hero Arts one for this card – I paired it with the Papertrey Ink woodgrain impression plate and oranges & reds for an autumn-inspired creation.

Our sponsor this week is Tickled Pink Stamps who are kindly giving away either one rubber stamp or two digital images of the winner’s choice – how fab! And, its our last week with our lovely October sponsors. Polka Doodles are giving away one Pretty Sweet – Mini CD collection & Scrap Affair are giving away a 5 pack of Promarkers – great prizes so be sure to play along! And, don’t forget to check out all the great DT inspiration over at Cupcake!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wee Memories Challenge – Brads, Buttons or Bows

Hello blog friends!

I feel like it has been ages since I stopped in for a visit. Between moving house, being pregnant & trying to get a UK driver’s license, life is absolutely crazy. I have now set up my craft room though and its a real treat to create in my new space (even though I’ve only had about 20 minutes in there so far!). Its a small room, but its all mine and the mess isn’t offending anyone ;-)

I’m excited to be back in the swing of things sharing a card for the new Wee Memories challenge – an especially fun one – brads, buttons or bow. I love all of these things so this was easy-peasy for me :-) I chose to use a bow, but struggle to leave a bow without a button…

I’ve made a similar card in the past, but wanted to try to use some non-girly papers on this otherwise very feminine card and I think it turned out well! I never use this Cosmo Cricket Social Club paper & I definitely think I should break it out more often.

Our fab sponsor this week is Jay Gee’s Nook, who are generously offering a $20 gift certificate to the winner. Make sure to check out the store – it is full of paper crafty goodness. And don’t forget to visit all the DT blogs for a good dose of inspiration!

Hope to be back again soon sharing more projects!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Denim & Lace

Hi blog friends! Hopefully by the time you are reading this I am settled into our new house, but chances are I’m still surrounded by boxes! In preparation for the next phase of our lives, we’ve moved from our small central London flat to a bigger house out in the suburbs. It was hard to leave such a great location, but hopefully the extra space (and craft room!!) will make it all worth it. So, the big moved happened over the weekend and life has been manic as a result. But, I digress….

I’m really here to share a new Cupcake challenge – another fun one this week – Denim & Lace. You can use the colours or the real deal – I chose a little combo. I finally inked up this new background stamp from Hero Arts and did some emboss resist with various shades of blue Distress Inks + Perfet Pearls. So fun to get messy :-)

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Crafty Emma’s Store who are giving away a £10 gift voucher to their fab store – fun! And, for October we have 2 monthly sponsors. Polka Doodles are giving away one Pretty Sweet – Mini CD collection & Scrap Affair are giving away a 5 pack of Promarkers – great prizes so be sure to play along! And, don’t forget to check out all the great DT inspiration over at Cupcake!

Thanks for stopping by – and hopefully by the next time you come to visit my blog I will be unpacked and crafting away in my new little room!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Halloween!

Hey everyone & happy Monday! Its time for another Cupcake challenge and I’m back today with more Halloween fun!

I used the same Lawn Fawn stamp for this card as I did for my previous Halloween card because I think this raccoon is perfectly frightful ;-) Stuck with oranges and blacks again and used some of my much-loved, but neglected patterned papers.

Our lovely sponsor this week is Cupcake Cards and Crafts who are generously offering one lucky winner a paper collection of their choice – woo hoo! And, for October we have 2 monthly sponsors (yes, 2!). Polka Doodles are giving away one Pretty Sweet – Mini CD collection & Scrap Affair are giving away a 5 pack of Promarkers – great prizes so be sure to play along! And, don’t forget to check out all the great DT inspiration over at Cupcake!

Hope you have time to play along!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Black & White Christmas

Hey blogosphere! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I managed to get crafty all day Saturday – its the first time since becoming pregnant that I’ve had the energy or wanted to craft, so I’m feeling pleased – only took 22 weeks ;-) Life is now going to get even crazier, but hoping to squeeze in a few projects here & there!

Anyway, I’m here today sharing a new Cupcake challenge, which was chosen by our competition winner, Sandra. The theme this week is ‘Black & White Christmas.’ This was definitely a good one for me – haven’t started any xmas cards and it was fun to use a different color combo for the holiday season. And, finally inked up this new Hero Arts stamp!

This week we’re joined by the generous Simon Says Stamp who are kindly offering a $20 gift certificate to one lucky winner.

Have a great week!

ColorQ

Hey blog friends! It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in London – mid 80s in October – what a treat! I have made a point to get outside a bit today, but I’ve also been taking advantage of my solo weekend to make some cards.

I wanted to make a quick card for the current ColorQ challenge – I love the combo. And, the challenge was to CASE a DT member – I was definitely spoilt for choice! I CASEd Kasia’s card here – she is one of my all time fave crafters!

And here is the color combo:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Wee Memories Challenge & Blog Hop!

Hello blog friends! It has been awhile since I’ve been here – sorry for the absence! I have been suffering with some serious pregnancy-related pelvis issues and the couch has been my bf over the last 2 weeks…on top of that we’re moving and life is just crazy! But, I digress…

Today I’m here with a new Wee Memories challenge & blog hop. The challenge this week is to use your favorite style – no problem, right?! We’re also celebrating World Card Making Day. We’re grateful to be joined by our fab sponsor Unity Stamp Co, offering a free stamp set to the winner!

I love CAS cards, paper-piecing, glossy accents, sewing & plain old stamping, so here is a card with all that!

You should have arrived here from Laurel Seabrook’s lovely blog and your next stop is the talented Stephanie. Don’t forget to check out our October guest desinger, Piali, who is sure to inspire on this crafty day! And, if you get lost along the way during the hop, head back to the Wee Memories blog for the complete list.

Thanks for stopping by & I hope you can get crafty on this very special day!
