Cupcake Craft Challenge – The Dark Side!

Morning blog friends! It is a lovely Monday morning here in London – hoping it stays that way. It is starting to feel more like autumn, which I just love.

I’m here today with a brand new Cupcake challenge. This week the challenge the lovely Delphine has chosen the Dark Side – you must use only black & purple (but you can stamp on a neutral & use other neutrals for skin tones & hair).

For this card I used my new Papertrey Ink Moroccan Motif embossing folder and stamped the sentiment on vellum, which I scored on each side. The vellum strip is adhered to the card with some hand-stitching.  Super simple, but the great colour combo allows for big impact.

This week we’re joined by sponsor Prairie Fairy Designs who are generously offering one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate. Our September sponsor is Bunny Zoe’s, who will be giving a £15 gift certificate to their fab store.

Hope you have some time to get crafty this week & play along. For inspiration, make sure to check out the fab DT creations!

Wee Memories Challenge – No Patterned Paper

Happy Saturday crafty friends! Hope you are all having a great weekend so far.

Today I’m here with a brand new Wee Memories challenge – No patterned paper. Now, I love me some patterned paper, so this was a challenge for me. But, there is nothing better than putting your stamps to good use to create patterns and backgrounds as great as the ones you can buy.

This week I made a gift bag and matching 3″x 3″ gift card with a new Hero Arts Studio Calico stamp set- I just love all the fab circles. You can check out the gift bag tutorial here – super easy & only uses 2x sheets of 12×12 paper.

So, get out your stamps and get crafty! Our generous sponsor this week is Ippity Chick Jen. You have until Friday September 23rd to upload your creations. And, make sure to check out all the DT creations – they are sure to inspire!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – School time!

Good morning! Its time for another Cupcake Craft Challenge – this time its all about Back to School. For this fun challenge I altered a notebook with some gorgeous washi tape from www.washitapes.co.uk and added a hand-made label with some thickers & flower accents.

If you haven’t already discovered the joys of washi tape, you must buy some ASAP. It is a great, inexpensive, light-weight embellishment for any paper craft project. AND, you can use this discount code for free shipping from Washi Tapes UKSTS01.

This week we’re joined by sponsor Quixotic Paperie who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher for their store. And our monthly sponsor for September is Bunny Zoe’s Crafts, who are generously giving away a £15 gift certificate to spend in their store full of goodies.

Makes sure to check out all the fabulous DT creations and upload your projects by Sunday 18 September at 8pm!

Wee Memories Challenge – One Layer

Hello everyone! I’ve had a busy week – back and forth to America again for a quick trip and now just struggling with some jet lag & a long to do list. But, before I have to deal with those less exciting things, how about a new challenge for Wee Memories?

This week the challenge is a one layer card – one of my favorites! They are not easy, but really rewarding & great if you need something light to mail (especially good if you send lots of stuff overseas like me!). This week our sponsor is the lovely Wilson Designs – one of my personal fave stamp companies!

So, hopefully you have some time to get inky and play along this weekend. Be sure to check out all the DT projects for inspiration and make sure to link up by Friday September 16th!

This card is also for the current challenge over at A Passion for Papertrey – my card is inspired by a gorgeous Nichole Heady creation in the release post here.

Cupcake Challenge – Patchwork!

Good morning virtual crafty friends and happy Monday.

I’m here today with a fun challenge for Cupcake – this week we’re doing patchwork projects & your card must features patchwork of some kind. Our sponsor this week is the generous Simon Says Stamp who are offering one lucky winner a $20 gift certificate.

And, its a new month, which means we have a new monthly sponsor – this month we’re joined by Bunny Zoe’s, who are generously giving a £15 gift certificate.
So, onto this week’s project – this is a baby card and I made the ‘B’ by doing a messy arrangement of scraps onto a sheet of scrap paper & then die-cutting a large ‘B’ with my Cricut (thanks to some inspiration from the fab Betsy Veldman). The edges are messily stitched with pink and distressed with white ink.

Thanks for stopping by & don’t forget to check out the other DT projects – they are sure to inspire! Hope you have a chance to play along!

Fun Felt Tag

Hi Blogosphere!

Just popping it for a quick post today to share a little felt creation. It was inspired to break out some felt for the Fabulous Felt Challenge in Moxie Fab World and used a sketch over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog for my inspiration. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline over at Waltzingmouse…This is also for the Anything Goes challenge at A Passion for Papertrey – I used all PTI felt.

Anywho, here is the little tag I created entirely out of felt (and 3 buttons!)

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!
