I never thought I’d see the day…

..during my pregnancy that I would actually make a card that wasn’t for one of my DTs and just for fun! But, alas, that day happened this week and I am finally starting to get some energy back to get creative (something that has been completely zapped!). Hoping the trend continues and I can find the time, energy & creativity!

Today’s card is for the Play Date Cafe challenge, CAS-ual Friday challenge (embossing) & uses the Clean & Simple stamping sketch. I finally inked up Papertrey Ink Mehndi Medallion, which I love and got out lots of embossing powder!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had great weekends and are ready for another week. There is finally some sunshine in London, so I’m happy.

I put together this set of baby-oriented thank you notes that I’ll be giving to a girlfriend of mine who is about to deliver. I figure until she gets some personalised thank you notes made, she could use these easy-to-mail single layer cards.

And, because August is birthday month, we have 3 monthly sponsors! We are joined by Crafts U Love, who are generously giving a £15 Gift Voucher to spend in their store, Mo’s Digital Pencil, who are offering a $10 gift voucher and lastly, Sew Sweet.  Sew Sweet are offering one lucky winner a £10 Gift Voucher.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Hey everyone! Today is a special day – it is the 3rd birthday of Cupcake Craft Challenge & we are really celebrating in style with a fab treasure hunt!

For this week’s challenge, we have a great sketch. Here is my take on the sketch (and also an opportunity to share some personal news — see sentiment below! Explains my general lack of craftiness the last few months and pre-occupation with things other than my blog and the blogosphere in general!).

And here is the great sketch:

Birthday Sketch

In honour of this exciting birthday, we have tons going on. First, we have a treasure hunt full of great prizes! Treasures are hidden on three of the design team members blogs. Wee Memories Challenge & a blog hop!

Hi everyone!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Today is a special day for me – my first post as part of  the Wee Memories Design Team! Yay! For this week’s challenge the theme is Masculine Creations – something I know can be very difficult (but rewarding!). The sponsor this week is Graphic 45, who are generously giving paper & stamps to the winner.

For this card I used some of my favorite October Afternoon paper from Thrift Shop, which has a very masculine feel. The paper, along with dark neutrals and a simple block font, makes this a card I would happily give to a guy for their special day.

As a special treat, the Wee Memories DT is hosting a blog hop, so you should have come to me by way of Laurel’s gorgeous blog. Your next stop is the lovely Stephanie’s blog! If you lose your way, head back to the Wee Memories blog to see the list!

Washi Tape cards & a discount code!

Hello to my lovely blog readers! Thanks for stopping by today – I have lots to share.

I have been doing some work lately with the lovely Washi Tapes UK and I have some washi tape cards to share today, along with a DISCOUNT CODE (!!) for their online store, full of so much washi tape goodness.

First up, a simple creation, inspired by a Cristina Kowalczyk card from the latest edition of  Paper Crafts Stamp It!

This quick card is super easy and came together in a  no time with the help of some graph paper as a guide. I used these bright & cheerful tapes from Washi Tapes.

For the next card, I used the current sketch over at the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge blog. I love the geometric design and I think it would look great with washi tape as a journal cover – I think that will be my next project…
For this card I used this lovely collection of tapes, which are currently on sale! The best thing about using washi tape on cards is that it packs so much punch (visually) but without any added weight – these cards are perfect for mailing! And here is the lovely Waltzingmouse sketch:
And now for the good stuff! You, my fab readers, are generously being offered FREE SHIPPING (to ANYWHERE!!!!) when you place an order at www.washitapes.co.uk.  Use discount code STS01 to redeem your free shipping on an order of any size. The discount code can be used one time per customer, so I’d fill up that cart with everything you want on your first visit!

So, what are you waiting for – head over & check out all the gorgeous tapes and watch my blog for some more washi tapes projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Craft Challenge – Sew Mad!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the long absence – life has been crazy lately! Really hoping to get back to my regular blogging soon though.

Today I’m back with another Cupcake challenge – this time it is all about sewing – real or faux! If you’ve been here before you know I love to sew on my cards, so this was a fun challenge for me. I decided to do something a little more ‘messy’ with my sewing this time – inspired by the wonderful Nichole Heady of Papertrey Ink.

So, what are you waiting for? Get out your sewing machine, Sew Easy or just a white pen and get stitching!

The sponsor this week is the lovely Paper Pretties, who are offering a lucky winner the ‘Giving Thanks Sophia Rubber Stamp’.

As August is birthday month for Cupcake (and me!) there are 3 sponsors lined up and plenty of stash to be won!

Don’t miss out on the fun, be sure to check the Cupcake blog regularly for all the birthday month celebrations! And don’t miss the DT creations this week, they’re stunning!
