Happy Birthday Hubby!

It was my husband’s birthday this past weekend and we got away for a long weekend to Budapest to celebrate! It was great to go on a little mini-break from London and we had a wonderful time taking in the sites and food (probably spent more time taking in the latter!).

I wasn’t very prepared with a birthday card and put this together quickly last night when I gave him his present. I went back & forth about whether or not to share it – definitely not my best or most creative card – but still a bit sweet & colorful!

I made this card for the Wee Memories Color Challenge & Lawnscapings Challenge – make your own background paper challenge. I used the star from Lawn Fawn – Bake a Cake to make the background. The rest of the goodies are Cosmo Cricket – my sweet guy loves when I make cards with those cute chipboard critters.

Here are a couple pictures of us enjoying Budapest!

Thanks for stopping by!

Card details:
Cardstock: White, Spring Moss (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned paper: Togetherness collection (Cosmo Cricket)
Stamps: star from Bake a Cake, sentiment from Sophie’s Sentiments (Lawn Fawn)
Ink: Cerulean & Poppy chalk ink (Hero Arts), Green Tea (Versacolor), Thatched Straw (Versamagic), Angel Pink, Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Fox (Cosmo Cricket), glitter pen (Sakura), die (Papertrey Ink)

Glad you guys had a good trip! Looks like it was kind of warm there n? I always think of Budapest as a cold place – not sure why. LOL!

Great card. Looks like you guys had fun in Budapest!! I’m so jealous you get to live in London. I went by myself in summer 2009 for 10 days. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza near Buckingham Palace. It’s my favorite city in the world. Maybe the next time I get there we can meet for some fish & chips!

Your pictures are amazing. I’ve not traveled much outside the US, so it is especially wonderful to see my on-line friends traveling and sharing their photos from around the world.

    Have a blessed day!
