Shiny New Home!

A quick break from baby cards for a new home card!

I had such a hard time choosing a good house stamp set and ended up with Hero Arts Whimsical House in the end and I’m very happy with it (thanks, Laurel for the suggestion!). The only thing I still haven’t found is a ‘Congratulations on your new home’ sentiment, but its easy enough to create one with a good alphabet set and I used the super sweet Jessie’s ABCs from Lawn Fawn.

I had a chance to play with my new Copic Airbrush system, which is how I created the clouds & grass – it was a little fidgety, but I got where I wanted in the end Its not perfect, but I’m still learning! I stamped the house on some woodgrain paper from Crate Paper, Emma’s Shoppe and paper-pieced the door & windows. I highlighted some portions with Copics and covered the whole house with Glossy Accents.ο»Ώ

The sketch is based on the current sketch over at Get Sketchy & this is also for the Anything Goes challenge at Wee Memories.

Thanks for stopping by today – I’m off for the rest of weekend to Budapest, so it will be quiet on the blog!

Wow, have a fun weekend in Budapest! Would love to be going to some exotic place for a weekend getaway.

Cute card too, the clouds look great – would never guess it was you first time with the airbrush :)
