Its been a super busy weekend and we still don’t have a computer at home. Luckily my husband brought his computer home from work so I have a chance to do a quick blog post.
I have really enjoyed the week of honouring over at Joy Taylor’s blog and she has posted a challenge for her readers to do the same. There are so many people I get inspiration from, but I really love Dawn McVey’s work and chose a card from the Love Birds release in December. I decided to do some Mother’s Day cards and did a lot of variations on color. Here are my creations:
Sorry for the dark photos – couldn’t get any good pictures of these with good natural light. The first card uses the new Papertrey Ink color, Royal Velvet – it looks very blue here, but it is a beautiful, vibrant purple and I can’t get enough of yellow & purple at the moment. In all these cards I have used the color that is 1 shade lighter for the layer on Mat Stack 3 – it is hard to see in the picture, but very nice in real life!
