Sparkling Christmas

It has been another crazy week and my blog has been very neglected. Work has never been busier and I’m frantically making cards in every spare moment. A quick post today for a card I made using my new favorite thing – Martha Stewart Glitter. I never considered myself much a glitter person, but I really really love this stuff. Easy to work with and adds a lot of impact to single layer cards.

This card is going to be submitted in the Hero Arts December Challenge - perfect for their color call & also the ‘adding shine’ technique. It is also for There She Goes – Bring on the Bling challenge.

This card went through a lot of stages – it started with just the glitter & sentiment, but both my husband and mom (my design guru) agreed that it look ‘unfinished.’ I was not in total agreement as I thougtht it looked CAS, but it wasn’t quite right – a few trees, snowflakes & rhinestones later, I had my final product!

Thanks for stopping by!

Card details:
Paper: card blank (Woodware)
Stamps: trees & sentiment from Get Merry! (Hero Arts)
Ink: Green Tea (Versacolor), Copper (Tsukineko Brilliance), Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: glitter (Martha Stewart), rhinestones (Hero Arts), scor-tape
