Passion for Papertrey Challenge Entry #1

Another challenge post today – this time for the lovely ladies at A Passion for Papertrey. I was very happy to discover this blog & find fellow PTI enthusiasts this side of the pond. Amy, Kate and Caryn all have such great style and they are definitely an inspiration.

I’m excited about this challenge – which is CASEing a card from a PTI design team member. To say I was spoilt for choice is an understatement. The design team is incredible & I could come up with an endless number of cards based on the designs of these talented women. I will have a lot of entries for this challenge I think…
This card is based on a recent card on Maile Belle’s blog, which can be seen here. This is definitely one of my favorite blogs – Maile’s cards are always clean, simple and stunning.
I followed her design & also went with a tree motif, but used another stamp set, Through the Trees. I stamped the tree a little off center, which I saw on Nichole Heady’s blog post here.

This card has also been submitted for an Off The Wall Craftiness challenge – I love the colors Kim has chosen for this challenge (and her blog is full of beautiful creations!).

This is the inspiration photo for the Off The Wall Craftiness challenge using green, brown & white:

Card details:

Paper: Kraft (Hero Arts), green (Basic Grey), Rustic Cream (PTI)
Stamps: Tree (Through the Trees -PTI), Sentiment (Asian Fusion – PTI)
Ink: Brown (Colorbox), Green (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Twine (Ribbon Girl); corner chomper
